Max Stambaugh earns top-ten during Sprints On Dirt finale; Waynesfield on October 6

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

ELIDA, Ohio (October 1, 2018) – Another Michigan start resulted in another top-ten finish for Elida, Ohio’s ‘Mad Max’ Stambaugh and car owner Shannon Eifert, this time during Sprints On Dirt (SOD) competition at Berlin Raceway.

Battling for a $4,200 top prize, Stambaugh finished seventh on Saturday night during the SOD season finale, a two-position improvement after starting on the inside of row five. For Stambaugh, the top-ten finish only added to an impressive racing resume that now includes four victories on the season, two of which while under control of Shannon Eifert’s Home Pro Roofing No. 51.

Stambaugh kicked off the SOD program by finishing third during his respective heat race. There were 24 drivers entered for action.

“It wasn’t a bad effort. The track was pretty tricky. We did the best that we could,” Stambaugh explained regarding the Berlin Raceway surface, which is an asphalt track covered with dirt. “I can’t thank Shannon Eifert enough for the opportunities that he gives me. We’ve been racing really well together. We are having a lot of fun. Hopefully we can keep that going long into the future.”

Up next on the agenda, Max Stambaugh will return to the Buckeye State and enter action in more familiar territory. The former All Star Circuit of Champions Rookie of the Year will make the transition back to 360 sprint car competition and enter Waynesfield Raceway Park’s Fall Spectacular on Saturday evening, October 6. The NRA Sprint Invaders season-ending program will award a $2,500 top prize.

Certainly no stranger to NRA Sprint Invaders competition, nor 360 competition, ‘Mad Max’ is a former NRA full-timer, earning back-to-back runner-up finishes in the Series championship before making the jump and molding much of his focus around 410 action. In fact, two of Stambaugh’s four victories in 2018 occurred during 360 action; Great Lakes Super Sprints (GLSS) triumphs in Indiana and Michigan.
