Max Stambaugh satisfied with first ever Central Pennsylvania visit

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

ELIDA, OH (May 1, 2017) – For the first time in his career, “Mad Max” Stambaugh made the trek to Central Pennsylvania, joining the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions for a three-race stretch on Friday through Sunday, April 28-30, that included visits to Williams Grove Speedway, Port Royal Speedway and Bedford Fairgrounds Speedway. The pilot of the Ray Marshall Motorsports entry qualified for two out of three events during his first ever tour of “Posse Country,” highlighting his weekend with a charge from row nine to finish 13th at Bedford Speedway on Sunday, April 30.

“We’re pretty happy with our performances. It’s so tough out there. We had over 40 cars during the first two nights, 36 cars on Sunday, and just about every car signed-in on all three nights was solid,” Stambaugh said. “To go out there and qualify for races is an accomplishment in itself. We now have a pretty good foundation for Port Royal Speedway and Williams Grove Speedway, so when we go back, we’ll look at our notes and hopefully improve on what we did this past weekend.”

The Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine and Fabricators/Fastenal of Kenton/DPI Ink Graphics/No. 33M operation will continue their 2017 Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions Rookie of the Year campaign with a return to The Keystone State, this time making appearances at Lernerville Speedway and Mercer Raceway Park on Friday and Saturday, May 5-6. Stambaugh, who has one top-ten finish in seven main event starts thus far in 2017 during Arctic Cat All Star competition, will enter the Western Pennsylvania doubleheader sixth in the updated Arctic Cat All Star championship standings, as well as on top of the Rookie of the Year title chase.

“I can’t thank Ray Marshall and the entire team enough for taking a chance on me,” Stambaugh said. “We were a little short handed this weekend at first, but luckily a friend of mine made the all night drive on Friday to help us at Port Royal and Bedford. We’ll see what we can do this weekend. I’m excited to get to Lernerville on Friday.”
