Max Stambaugh scores top-ten at Atomic Speedway with Arctic Cat All Stars

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

ELIDA, OH (April 10, 2017) – For the second time in as many starts, “Mad Max” Stambaugh earned a top-ten performance for Ray Marshall Motorsports, this time finishing eighth against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions at Atomic Speedway on Sunday evening, April 9.

For Stambaugh, an Arctic Cat All Star Rookie of the Year contender in 2017, it was his first Arctic Cat All Star start of the new year aboard the Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine and Fabricators/Fastenal of Kenton/No. 33M, earning his way into the $5,000-to-win program by recording the second fastest time during qualifying time trials, as well as earning a fifth place performance during his respective heat race.

“It was a great night for our team. We’ve been fast so far this year, so the plan is to keep that streak going,” Stambaugh explained. “To come out strong with back-to-back top-ten finishes says a lot about this team and our potential. I’m excited to get back to work this weekend and revisit a facility where we have already shown some success.”

Max Stambaugh will continue his 2017 Arctic Cat All Star Rookie of the Year campaign with a visit to the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Saturday, April 15. The HD Supply Spring Nationals is on the weekend agenda, awarding a $5,000 top prize. Stambaugh has one Attica Raceway Park start on his resume in 2017, guiding the Ray Marshall Motorsports entry to a top-five performance during the speedway’s season opener on March 24.

“I can’t thank Ray Marshall and the entire team enough for this opportunity,” Stambaugh explained. “I can’t describe the feelings I have right now. Hopefully they never go away.”
