Memorial Day weekend double in Ohio on tap for the “Texas Traveler”

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FREMONT, OH (May 23, 2017) – After a complete washout throughout areas of Indiana and Wisconsin during the recent weekend, losing events at Kokomo (IN) Speedway, Wilmot (WI) Raceway and Angell Park (WI) Speedway, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will look forward and attempt to end his May campaign with two solid finishes during Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions competition over Memorial Day weekend.

Michael, a second year, full-time traveler with the Tony Stewart-owned organization, will join “America’s Series” at Attica Raceway Park and Mansfield Motor Speedway on Friday and Sunday, May 26 & 28, respectively. The visit to Attica, Ohio, will be the second of four with the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions in 2017, the first resulting in an 18th place finish after starting from row 12 on Saturday, April 15. Michael has one top-ten finish at the Attica high banks during unsanctioned competition this season; finishing ninth during the venue’s season opener on March 24.

“It’s tough to lose that many races in one weekend, especially when traveling that far,” T.J. Michael explained. “There wasn’t a whole lot anyone could do about it. Angell Park Speedway was the best shot for a race. The track crew worked their tails off, but the rain came anyhow. Regardless, we’re going to keep looking forward and work for two solid finishes with the All Stars this weekend in Ohio. Our goal is to work toward the top-five in All Star points. We are a little behind right now, but we have a long season ahead. I’m confident we’ll make up ground in a hurry.”
