Michael will tackle all but two events during Ohio Sprint Speedweek

FREMONT, Ohio (June 12, 2018) – After a complete washout during the recent weekend, losing potential main event starts at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway due to Mother Nature, the “Texas Traveler” T.J. Michael will continue his 2018 campaign with one of sprint car racing’s most historic, yet grueling traditions; Ohio Sprint Speedweek.

Michael, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Crown Battery/Kear’s Speed Shop/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Kistler Racing Engines/Maxim Chassis/Wood Heating & Air Conditioning/Pro Tech Service Company/Wings Unlimited/Shell Shock/No. 8M sprint car, will join the All Star Circuit of Champions during seven of the nine rounds of Ohio Sprint Speedweek, kicking things off at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, June 15.

“It’s bittersweet to be honest. You don’t want to wish the summer away, but at the same time, we couldn’t wait for Speedweek to get here,” Michael said, a former All Star full-timer who has since made the switch to FAST Series competition. “We’re going to enter seven out of the nine shows this year. It’s definitely a demanding schedule that requires a lot of preparation, dedication, and attention. I’m really excited to get started.”

Following his visit to Attica Raceway Park on Friday evening, Michael will take two days off before continuing his Ohio Sprint Speedweek campaign with starts at Wayne County Speedway (6/18), Sharon Speedway (6/19), Atomic Speedway (6/20, 6/23), Muskingum County Speedway (6/21), and Limaland Motorsports Park (6/22). Each event will award $5,000 top prizes, minus the Atomic Speedway finale, dubbed the Rick Ferkel Classic, which will award a $10,000 top prize.

The “Texas Traveler” will enter the weekend in the midst of a top-ten streak; earning three consecutive FAST Series top-ten performances between competition at Attica Raceway Park and Fremont Speedway, most recently charging from the outside of row nine to finish 10th at Fremont on Saturday, June 2.

T.J. Michael and Michael Motorsports would like to thank all of their current marketing partners including: Advanced Cast Stone, Fremont Fence Company, Crown Battery, Kear’s Speed Shop, Hinchman Suits, Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde, Kistler Racing Engines, Maxim Chassis, Wood Heating & Air Conditioning, Pro Tech Service Company, Wings Unlimited, Shell Shock, and Fully Injected Motorsports.
