Miley eyes $20,000 at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway

PITTSBURGH, PA (October 3, 2017) – After an impressive showing during his first-ever World 100 at Eldora Speedway, earning a top-ten finish during preliminary main event competition on Friday, September 8, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania’s own Jared Miley will once again battle the best in the business, this time joining the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series in his own backyard for a shot at $20,000.
The Pittsburgher 100 at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, celebrating 29 years in 2017, will take over Western Pennsylvania headlines beginning Friday evening, October 6. Awarding a $20,000 top prize on Saturday night after 100 green flag laps, the two-day program will feature a hot shot list of touring stars, as well as a lengthy, local and regional contingent of competitive super late model teams. Miley, a recent winner at “Dirt’s Monster Half Mile,” will join the Pittsburgher 100 field with the intent to cross off two items on his career bucket list; a Pittsburgher 100 title and a Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series victory.
“Not too often you have the opportunity to race for that kind of money close to home. We get to race in front of our fans and family, as well as many of our team supporters. This is a huge deal and I’m excited to be a part of it,” Jared Miley explained, pilot of the familiar Jared Miley Racing/Jay’s Auto Wrecking/Keystone Alliance Insurance Services, LLC of Spring City/Maloney’s Classic Cars of Meadville/Junior’s Cores & Recycling/Colussy Chevrolet/Octane Graphix/No. H1. “We have a lot of great people who stand behind this race team which allows us to participate at the level that we do. I can’t think of many things more special than winning the Pittsburgher 100 in front of all of those people. We are working towards that.”
In hopes of padding a very productive season during super late model competition, Jared Miley will enter the weekend blockbuster as a six-time winner thus in 2017, most recently claiming a $2,000 top prize at the Hummingbird Speedway near Dubois, Pennsylvania, on Saturday, September 16. A $20,000 payday on Saturday night, undoubtedly the largest of his career, would ensure Miley’s name in the history books, not only as a local racing hero, but also as a champion at the national level.
“Winning the Pittsburgher 100 is something that I have been working toward since I started racing. It’s an event promoted at a racetrack that is operated by my family, so for obvious reasons, this is a big deal,” Miley stated. “Hopefully we can continue to make things click and get ourselves in position on Saturday night to win it.”
