NDRL Implements Racer Friendly Tire Rule for ‘Pittsburgher’ Weekend

Pittsburgh, PA (October 1, 2013) The National Dirt Racing League and the ‘Let’s Get Dirty Tour’ will return to action on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, October 10, 11, and 12 at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway in Imperial, Pennsylvania for the 25th Annual ‘Pittsburgher 100’ weekend. As the blockbuster weekend draws near, NDRL officials would like to announce a driver friendly tire rule will be in effect for the entire weekend.

The following tire rule will be in effect for the Thursday, October 10 practice, Friday, October 11 ‘Let’s Get Dirty 50’ and the Saturday, October 12 ‘Pittsburgher 100’ events at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway located in Imperial, Pennsylvania. Competitors may use any Hoosier tire compound 1300 or harder including UMP ‘LM’ tires and Lucas Oil ‘LO’ tires that are harder than a 1300 compound. Competitors may also use and American Racer brand compound 44 or harder. This and all tire rules at NDRL events will be strictly enforced and tire testing will be implemented at the discretion of NDRL officials.

Tire Rule for the ‘Let’s Get Dirty 50’ and 25th Anniversary ‘Pittsburgher’ 100 is as follows:
Hoosier: Any Compound 1300 or harder
American Racer: Any Compound 44 or harder

The purse for the ‘Let’s Get Dirty 50’ at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway is as follows, NDRL Super Late Models: 1. $10,000, 2. $5,000, 3. $2,500, 4. $1,500, 5. $1,250, 6. $1,100, 7. $1,075, 8. $1,050, 9. $1,025, 10. $1,000, 11. $900, 12. $800, 13. $700, 14. $600, 15. $550, 16-24. $500. Entry Fee $100.00
