GETTYSBURG, Pa. (April 22, 2019) – Danny Dietrich is not only adding victories to his win list, but he is also adding tracks, now with one victory at four different Central Pennsylvania venues thus far in 2019.

Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48 sprint car, earned his fourth victory of 2019 during competition at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, April 20.

Impressive enough, Dietrich earned his first Port Royal win of 2019 from the outside of row four, eventually forced to outduel former Port Royal Speedway champion, Brock Zearfoss, during a restart with one lap remaining. In fact, Zearfoss gained control over Dietrich as the pair battled through turns one and two on the final circuit. A last minute misdirection by Dietrich to drive back under Zearfoss at the exit of turn two solidified his victory.

After starting eighth on the grid, ‘Double-D’ charged to fourth by the completion of lap one, eventually snagging second from Cory Haas on lap 14, each before taking command from George Hobaugh on lap 19.

“It’s tough to not be pumped up over this one,” Danny Dietrich said, who earned ten victories in 2018, two being at Port Royal Speedway. “I can’t say enough about this team right now. We tossed and turned on the idea about going to Port Royal. It was tough, especially with Lincoln paying some bonus money. Our eye is on the big Port Royal prize at the end of May. We came here to get ready for the Weikert Memorial. I think things are really looking up.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2019 campaign with a trio of starts in the Keystone State, first visiting Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, April 26, followed by a return to the ‘Speed Palace’ on Saturday, April 27. If all goes well, Dietrich will cap off his weekend with the Ray Tilley Classic at Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday, April 28.
