Short Trip: I-79 Summer Shootout presented by Classic Ink USA Ahead for Danny Holtgraver

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

PITTSBURGH (July 26, 2016) – After spending a weekend in Kokomo, Indiana, for the inaugural Dirt Classic Indiana, resulting in two top-ten finishes against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Friday and Saturday, July 22-23, Pittsburgh’s own Danny Holtgraver will now prep his focus for the I-79 Summer Shootout presented by Classic Ink USA; three events in three days, all of which in Holtgraver’s back yard.

The I-79 Summer Shootout presented by Classic Ink USA will feature three Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions programs at three different Western Pennsylvania facilities, each awarding $5,000 top prizes along with a $3,000 point fund. Action will ignite on Friday night, July 29, at Eriez Speedway near Erie, Pennsylvania, followed by visits to Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 30, and Tri-City Raceway Park near Franklin on Sunday, July 31.

“Not too often we have a weekend like this where we can headquarter ourselves in our own shop,” Holtgraver said. “I’m excited about it. This gives us an opportunity to race in front of our home fans, family, and friends. We’ve been successful at Pittsburgh on a number of occasions in the past. That’s probably the track I am the most comfortable with this weekend. Hopefully we can get things rolling right from the start and snag the biggest portion of the weekend point fund.”

“Downtown” Danny Holtgraver will enter the I-79 Summer Shootout presented by Classic Ink USA currently fourth in the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions standings, earning two victories, as well as 11 top-five finishes in the process.

Holtgraver’s recent trip to Kokomo Speedway, his first ever visit to “Indiana’s Baddest Bullring,” resulted in a tenth place performance on Friday, July 22, and a seventh place performance on Saturday, July 23, increasing his overall top-ten total with the Arctic Cat All Stars to 15 on the season.

“We had a great weekend in Kokomo. That place is just awesome,” Holtgraver said. “I’m pretty sure that was my first time ever racing in the state of Indiana. Hopefully we have an opportunity to return next year. I just want to thank my car owner and crew for their hard work and effort. I wouldn’t be here without them. They do an amazing job and I’m excited for this opportunity.”
