Sodeman Jr. Scores Top-Ten at Fremont, Potential BOSS Start Ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

NORTH JACKSON, Oh. (May 23, 2016) – After suffering from mechanical failure during feature action at Lernerville Speedway on Friday night, May 20, Jack Sodeman Jr. packed shop and traveled west to the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio, on Saturday, May 21. The North Jackson, Ohio, native recorded a top-ten finish during his visit to “The Track That Action Built,” finishing eighth during the 25-lap main event after starting sixth. Sodeman kicked-off his first Fremont Speedway start of the season by charging five positions to win his respective heat race, solidifying his spot in the A-main.

“We had a lot of rain in the area, so our only option was to travel west and visit Fremont,” explained Jack Sodeman Jr. “Our decision turned out to be a good one. We showed speed all night and we are proud of that. They have a great group of guys that race weekly. To earn a top-ten is a great accomplishment. We plan to make a few more trips west this year.”

Sodeman, pilot of the Glassmere Fuel, Economy Tooling, PRS Transit, Townsend Gas & Oil, Inc., Butlerbuilt, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, Simpson Race Products, Triple X Race Components, No. 23JR, will for certain make two starts during the upcoming weekend, but an exact game plan has yet to be determined. The potential plan is to kick-off the holiday weekend on Friday night, May 27, with Fab4 action at the Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. Sodeman has finished as high as second during feature competition at “The Action Track” in 2016 and currently finds himself fourth in the updated championship standings.

The tentative plan for Saturday, May 28, is to enter BOSS non-wing sprint car competition at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. If weather becomes a factor, Sodeman will make another trek west and visit either Wayne County Speedway, Atomic Speedway, or Fremont Speedway. A plan will be determined later in the week.

Jack Sodeman Jr. earned one BOSS non-wing sprint car victory in 2016, occurring at Lernerville Speedway during the season-ending Steel City Stampede DIRTcar Round-Up.

“The weather really has us guessing, so our best bet is to make a game plan and be ready to race anywhere that we can,” explained Sodeman. “Racing the BOSS show is our number one choice. We’ve had a lot of success in the non-wing cars during the last few seasons. If that plan backfires, we’ll head back into Ohio and try to race at Wayne County, Atomic, or Fremont; anywhere that is open. Not sure what will happen. We’ll see soon enough.”
