Sportsman Championship And Topless 358 Late Models Friday At Williams Grove,
Double Sprints Return Sept. 13

9/1/13
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Mechanicsburg – The Lawrence Chevrolet 410 sprint cars will have a rare Friday night off this week at Williams Grove Speedway but will return on September 13.

This week, September 6, the racing program will be highlighted by a Super Sportsman Championship feature event along with a special race for topless 358 late models.

It’s a rare sight to see a late model compete in topless form but fans will see just that this week at Williams Grove.

The ARDC Midgets will also be on the Friday card that gets underway at 7:30 pm.

Chad Criswell is the leading sportsman feature winner at Williams Grove this season with three to his credit in Saturday Series action, which concluded on August 24.

The 410 sprints will again take center stage on September 13 along with the Tool Shed of America 358 sprint cars.

An identical show is slated for September 20 before a National Open tune up takes place along with the 358 sprints on September 27.

The final show of September will also decide the 2013 Diamond Series championship.

As the month progresses, the race for the 2013 410 sprint track title is beginning to tighten with defending titlist Greg Hodnett now within 165 points of leader Fred Rahmer.

The track champs will be crowned on Champions Night, October 18.

The month of September is all in preparation for the the biggest sprint car show on the East Coast, the World of Outlaws Williams Grove Speedway National Open, coming up on Friday and Saturday, October 4 and 5.

The World of Outlaws sprint car sanctioned event will pay $50,000 to the winner of the Saturday night 40-lap National Open finale.
