By Mike Leone

January 29, 2013 FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

(Pulaski, PA)…The Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Dirt Late Model Series will be taking part in the richest event ever held in the 15-year history of Roaring Knob Motorsports Complex. On Monday, September 2, the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Touring Series will battle for $2,000 to-win and join up with the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) “Kings of Dirt”, which will a feature a $20,000 to-win Super Late Model event at the Markleysburg, Pa. oval! This will cap off a big “End of Summer Blowout” Labor Day Weekend featuring over $50,000 in cash and prizes, which will kickoff with “Manufactures Night” at Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway on Saturday, August 31.

“This is a big honor to be included in this event,” stated RUSH Co-Director Vicki Emig. “We always enjoy having the opportunity to be on a big national stage and feel this event will be great exposure for our Series and racers. This adds to our growing list of well-known sanctioning bodies we’ll be teaming up with in 2013. We have to thank NDRL Founder John Kennedy for allowing us to be part of this event and offering the $2,000 to-win purse. This now makes over 50% of our schedule $2,000 or more to win events! We’d be remiss if we didn’t thank Roaring Knob owner Rick Jones for his unwavering support of our Series.”

The Labor Day Weekend will be a big one for the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Touring Series. Pittsburgh’s PA Motor Speedway will host a $1,500 to-win event on Saturday night as part of “Manufacturers Night”, which will be highlighted by over $30,000 in product and prizes distributed in addition to purse monies. The $2,000 to-win event (qualifying format) offered on the Labor Day Monday holiday at Roaring Knob will bring the “End of Summer Blowout” total to over $50,000 in cash and prizes!

Besides important Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC Touring, Weekly Series, and Futures Cup points being on the line, the event will also be the finale in the Pace Performance “Summer Chase” – a two month $10,000+ program beginning in July that will offer $3,000 to the champion paying down to $500 for 10th. The “Pace Chase” program will be open to RUSH member racers in the top 10 at weekly-sanctioned speedway’s RUSH point system and the top 10 in the Touring at the end of June.

Also on Monday, fans and racers will be able to enjoy a concert by Cody McCarver, formerly of Confederate Railroad. For tickets and more information on this event, check out www.theNDRL.com
