T.J. Michael charges ten spots during Pete Jacobs Memorial at Wayne County Speedway

FREMONT, Ohio (September 4, 2018) – Although forced to compete in three straight B-mains during All Star Circuit of Champions competition on August 31 through September 2, the result of missed transfer positions during heat race action, the ‘Texas Traveler’ T.J. Michael rebounded on all three nights, ultimately qualifying for each of the Dirt Classic Ohio main events at Attica Raceway Park, as well as the Pete Jacobs Memorial main event at Wayne County Speedway.
Michael highlighted his Labor Day weekend triple-header by charging from 23rd to finish 13th during the $10,000-to-win Pete Jacobs Memorial at Wayne County on Sunday, September 2. Also resulting in a 13th place finish, Michael launched the long, holiday weekend with a rally from 22nd to 13th during the Dirt Classic Ohio opener at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, August 31.
In similar fashion, Michael rebounded from 24th to finish 18th during the second night of Dirt Classic Ohio action on September 1.
“Taking everything into consideration, it wasn’t a terrible weekend for our team. We displayed a lot of patience and perseverance. We just had trouble getting our qualifying in rhythm,” Michael explained, driver of the Michael Motorsports/Advanced Cast Stone/Fremont Fence Company/Crown Battery/Kear’s Speed Shop/Hinchman Suits/Big D’s Pizza of Fremont and Clyde/Kistler Racing Engines/Maxim Chassis/Wood Heating & Air Conditioning/Pro Tech Service Company/Wings Unlimited/Shell Shock/No. 8M sprint car. “Despite being forced to start deep, I’m proud of what we were able to accomplish. We’ll try again this weekend.”
T.J. Michael will choose between action at Fremont Speedway and Sharon Speedway during the upcoming weekend. A final decision will be made later in the week.
