T.J. Michael Ready to Launch Arctic Cat Point Season Saturday at Atomic

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FREMONT, Oh. (March 28, 2016) – The 2016 season will hit high speed for Texas native T.J. Michael this Saturday night when the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions hit the high banks at Atomic Speedway near Chillicothe, Ohio. Michael, a Texas native who races out of a shop in Fremont, Ohio, is the newest Arctic Cat All Star to sign-on as a full-time member in 2016, set to challenge some of the region’s finest 410 sprint car pilots for the next seven months.

“Always excited to get back in the driver seat,” explained T.J. Michael. “We have some laps at Atomic, so now we have a better game plan heading into the weekend. It’s going to be a long season, but we’ll take things one race at a time and work for some solid finishes. We’re going to have a lot of fun.”

T.J. Michael will join the Arctic Cat All Stars for the “Rumble in the Hills” on Saturday, April 2; his second appearance at Atomic Speedway in a week. The “Texas Traveler” made his first ever appearance at the Chillicothe oval on Saturday, March 26, where he participated in the Ohio Sprint Car Series opener with 35 other 410 sprint car competitors.

Michael kicked-off the program with a second place performance during heat race competition, earning the pole position for the evening’s A-main. The pilot of the Fremont Fence Company, Advanced Cast Stone, Kear’s Speed Shop, Shell Shock, Hinchman Suits, Snap-On, Kistler Racing Engines, No. 8M held on to finish 11th in the running order; a perfect test session and learning experience for his upcoming Atomic rerun.

“We didn’t have the car where it needed to be during the feature, but we are proud of what we accomplished and we now know what we missed,” said T.J. Michael. “We can use our notes this Saturday when we return. I just want to thank my entire team, including Andy Potter, for keeping everything in line and ready to go. I’m excited to get the All Star season started. This is a brand new chapter in my racing career. We want to make the best of it.”
