The Final Showdown is the final stop for Cory Haas

YORK, PA (October 24, 2017) – York’s own Cory Haas will conclude his 2017 season on Saturday evening at Susquehanna Speedway, set to participate in the annual Final Showdown worth $5,000.
The Pennsylvania finale, the final sprint car program of 2017 inside the Keystone State, will end a long season for Cory Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports, one that includes an array of top-five and top-ten finishes. Most recently, Haas and Trone Outdoor Motorsports finished tenth during feature competition at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. The feature start was Haas’ second consecutive at the “Speed Palace,” also qualifying for the $10,000-to-win, World of Outlaws program on October 14.
“It’s crazy to think our season is over,” Cory Haas said. “It has been a long, fun season, but I think we are all ready for a little break. I can’t thank John [Trone] and the entire team enough for their help and support in 2017. We had our ups and downs, but at the end of the day the consistency was there and that’s important. I wouldn’t mind ending the year on a high note and snagging $5,000.”
Cory Haas, who earned 13 top-ten finishes at Lincoln Speedway alone, will enter the weekend tenth in the Central PA Sprint Series presented by Hoseheads.com point standings, less than 50 points out of ninth position.
