“The New All Stars” bring Blaney, Shaffer and Holtgraver home
Rush Late Models, Modifieds and Pic-A-Part Sportsman also on the card

Sarver, PA (April 29, 2015) When the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions Sprints invade the Action Track, it’s really more like a homecoming. For the past few seasons, former Track Champions Dale Blaney, Tim Shaffer and more recently Danny Holtgraver have been flag bearers for the All Stars and each has benefitted from home cooking in recent years.

All three are scheduled to be in action this Friday, April 10 as the All Stars make their first visit to Western PA under the leadership of Three-Time NASCAR Sprint Cup Champion Tony Stewart. “The New All Stars” refers to the fact that they also include the impactful, but short-lived Renegade Sprint Series and thus a larger contingent than they’ve brought to the track in quite a few years.

1993 Track Champion Tim Shaffer leads all drivers with Lernerville All Star wins with four; one each from 2008 through 2011. 1991 Champ Dale Blaney has two All Star wins at the Action Track; 1996 and 2010. The most recent Track Champion (2010) Danny Holtgraver is also the most recent winner of the trio; having pocketed $5,000 for winning in 2012.

However, if any of these three touring stars intends to stand victorious in Victory Lane again, they’ll have to deal with The Apollo Rocket who is undefeated at Lernerville this season. Lynch ran down and passed AJ Flick on Opening Night and Brandon Matus last Friday to bump his division leading win total to 110. Lynch, like Blaney, has two Lernerville All Star wins; 1994 and 2004.

While he hasn’t won one at Lernerville yet, third-generation star Brandon Matus does have an All Star win to his credit and would bring the house down if he was able to spring the upset Friday Night.

Lee Jacobs won a pair of features at Lernerville last season, including the All Star feature, and returned to action on Opening Night to prepare for this event after missing the end of last season with an injury.

The All Stars spent last weekend in Central PA at Williams Grove and Port Royal with Greg Hodnett and Cody Darrah taking the wins respectively. Dale Blaney leads the All Star points by just 12 points over Ryan Smith and 14 points over Cody Darrah. Danny Holtgraver is fifth in points and Tim Shaffer is seventh.

In addition to the All Star Sprints, the Sweeney RUSH Late Models and Modifieds will also be in action for the first time this season. The Millerstown Pic-A-Part DIRTcar Sportsman, which is being infused with the Sweeny RUSH Pro Stock Series, will also be on the card for their third race of the season.

Fab Four Racing Fueled by Turner’s Premium Iced Teas resumes next Friday, May 8 on Diehl Automotive Night. The longtime division sponsor of the DIRTcar Northeast Modifieds will have a cavalcade of Toyota, Scion, Dodge, Ram, Chrysler and the newest member of the group Volkswagen on display for the “Finest Race Fans in the World.”
