SHREVE, Ohio (July 10, 2018) – Trevor Baker’s 2018 season will continue on one of sprint car racing’s biggest stages.

Baker, who is in the midst of a “true outlaw” schedule in 2018, will join the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series on Friday and Saturday, July 13 & 14, ready to do battle during the 35th Annual Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio. The crown jewel event attracted over 50 entries in 2017, and although the competition is fierce, Baker is excited to join the Greatest Show On Dirt and work toward a first-ever Kings Royal start.

“I’m pretty excited,” Trevor Baker explained, driver of the T-Rev Performance/Baker’s Mobile Home Transport/Exodus Cycle/Coblentz Trucking/H&S Concrete/No. 45 sprint car. “We will be racing against an ulta-competitive field; the best in the world, nonetheless. Making the finale on Saturday night is our ultimate goal.”

Although Kings Royal weekend is technically three days with action kicking-off on Thursday, July 12, with the Jokers Wild program, followed by the Knight Before the Kings Royal and Kings Royal, Baker’s work commitments will most likely limit his efforts to only two nights of competition.

“Thursday is still kinda up in the air. I’m not sure my work schedule will allow us to race that night, but we will try,” Baker continued. “Just to have the opportunity to race against the World of Outlaws is special. We know what we are up against, but it’s going to be a lot of fun. I can’t wait to get there.”

Despite the fact that Baker will enter Kings Royal weekend fresh off of an off-week, the Shreve, Ohio, native does have some positive momentum on his side, recently participating in Ohio Sprint Speedweek with the All Star Circuit of Champions and earning multiple dash appearances; one at Wayne County Speedway on June 18 and one at Atomic Speedway on June 23.

The Kings Royal finale will award $50,000.
