Trio of top-ten finishes propels Brent Marks into World of Outlaws doubleheader

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, PA (October 10, 2016) – The “Myerstown Missile” Brent Marks transformed three feature starts into three consecutive top-ten finishes during his long weekend, finishing no worse than ninth during his visits to Williams Grove Speedway, Lincoln Speedway and Fulton Speedway. His weekend highlight occurred on Saturday evening, October 8, during a trip to the Fulton Speedway in Fulton, New York, where Marks finished ninth against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series; his fifth top-ten feature finish of the 2016 season with the Greatest Show On Dirt. It was also his first ever appearance at Fulton Speedway.

Other weekend results included finishing fifth during the “Run What You Brung” program at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, October 7, followed by a sixth place performance during the Hank Gentzler Memorial at Lincoln Speedway on Sunday, October 9.

“Not a bad weekend for our race team. I think if our luck would have been different during the draws, we could have finished a little better,” Brent Marks explained. “We tried some new things to see if we could find a little extra speed this weekend. The things we tried definitely helped us out during the early parts of each night. We’ll fine tune those and we’ll be in great shape. I just can’t thank everyone enough for making a weekend like this possible for us. We put on a lot of miles. A lot of people make that happen.”

Marks will now attempt to transform his trio of top-ten feature finishes into two consecutive victories with the Greatest Show On Dirt, as the Myerstown, Pennsylvania, native preps for back-to-back starts against the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car series at Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway this Friday and Saturday, October 14-15. The weekend will kick-start officially with the rescheduled Champion Racing Oil National Open worth $25,000.

“We’ve been working hard to get our first World of Outlaws victory. We’ve been close, but just not close enough,” Brent Marks said. “To win one this weekend, especially during the National Open, would be our greatest achievement by far. I think we have what it takes to be a frontrunner. I’m excited to see what we can do.”
