Butler, PA (September 4th, 2013) – Danny Holtgraver and the B&R Racing ‘45’ team will make their presence known in Central Pennsylvania this Friday and Saturday, September 6th & 7th; as the UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions are set to make their last Pennsylvania visit of the 2013 season this weekend. Holtgraver, who pilots the B&R Racing, Canton Erectors, Berlin Natural Bakery, Alternative Power Sources, DKW Transport, no. 45 sprint car, will take part in the 46th Annual ‘Tuscarora 50’ at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania this Friday and Saturday; headlined with the 50-lap, $12,000-to-win, ‘Tuscarora 50’ main event on Saturday, September 7th. The UNOH All Star travelers, including Dale Blaney, Tim Shaffer and Danny Holtgraver, will face-off against the best that Central Pennsylvania has to offer this Friday and Saturday; including current Central PA point leader, Fred Rahmer.
The B&R Racing ‘45’ operation will kick-off their UNOH All Star weekend at the Port Royal Speedway on Friday evening, September 6th. The ‘Night Before The 50’ preliminary program for the UNOH All Star ‘410’ sprint cars will highlight Friday’s racing schedule at the Port Royal Speedway; complete with a 30-lap, $5,000-to-win/$400-to-start main event. The UNOH All Star weekend at the Port Royal Speedway will continue on Saturday evening, September 7th with the ‘Tuscarora 50’ main event; awarding $12,000-to-win/$500-to-start after fifty (50) laps of competition. Race fans will also have the opportunity to check out the 159th Annual Juniata County Fair; which is hosted at the Port Royal Speedway, and runs simultaneously with the ‘Tuscarora 50’ weekend. Danny Holtgraver finished fourteenth (14th) during the 2012 edition of the ‘Tuscarora 50’ at the Port Royal Speedway. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native, who now resides in Butler, Pennsylvania, will enter the UNOH All Star ‘Eastern Region’ event at the Port Royal Speedway currently third (3rd) in the UNOH All Star ‘National’ standings; and sixth (6th) in the current UNOH All Star ‘Eastern Region’ standings. The Port Royal Speedway ‘double-header’ this weekend will also count as the season’s UNOH All Star ‘Eastern Region’ finale; with Lance Dewease holding down the top spot in the standings. Doug Esh is the defending ‘Tuscarora 50’ champion; with Dale Blaney being the defending ‘Night Before The 50’ winner.
Danny Holtgraver, who is a full-time traveler with the UNOH All Stars in 2013, will enter the Port Royal Speedway gates on Friday evening, September 6th with three (3) UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions victories under his belt already this season. The ‘45’ team found victory lane during UNOH All Star competition once this season at the I-77 Raceway Park in Ripley, West Virginia; and twice at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania. Interestingly enough, Holtgraver is five-for-five during feature action at the Mercer 3/8’s mile oval in 2013; winning all five (5) events, sanctioned and unsanctioned, he has entered in. During recent ‘410’ sprint car competition, Danny Holtgraver earned his third (3rd) UNOH All Star Circuit of Champions’ victory of the 2013 season; picking up the $5,000 triumph at the Mercer Raceway Park in Mercer, Pennsylvania.
