“HURTUBISE CLASSIC” FALLS TO ISAAC TOO;
TERRE HAUTE SPRINT RACE RESET FOR OCTOBER 12

Heavy rains from tropical storm Isaac have reached Terre Haute, Ind. forcing postponement of tonight’s (Saturday) AMSOIL USAC National Sprint Race at the Terre Haute Action Track. The “Jim Hurtubise Classic” has been rescheduled for Friday night, October 12.

The rescheduling sets up a USAC “doubleheader” weekend at the half-mile dirt oval, with the “Sumar Classic 100” Traxxas Silver Crown race scheduled on Saturday night, October 13.

The postponement is the second of the weekend, following closely yesterday morning’s postponement of Friday night’s AMSOIL National Sprint race at Tri-City Speedway in Pontoon Beach. That race will occur in October on a date yet to be announced.
