Zearfoss Disappointed with Outlaw Outcome, Three Days at Port Royal On Deck

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (May 23, 2016)- For the first time since October, Brock Zearfoss joined the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series at Williams Grove Speedway, working to outperform the “Greatest Show On Dirt” during their first appearance of the 2016 season. Unfortunately, the evening ended quicker than expected, finishing tenth during the “Last Chance Showdown,” ultimately missing the main event on Friday, May 20. Despite the disappointment and frustration, the “Jonestown Jet” will work to set those feelings aside and rebound during his mega-Memorial Day weekend agenda.

“We were pretty disappointed,” said Zearfoss regarding his Williams Grove Speedway finish on Friday night. “Williams Grove hasn’t treated us too well this year. We’ve been having trouble finding speed there at certain times. I think we have the potential to be fast there, and we’ve shown that, we just aren’t consistent right now, but we’ll work to change that. We have a big weekend coming up. We’ll work hard for four solid finishes to make up for Friday.”

Brock Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No. 3Z, will highlight his holiday weekend with the newly improved Bob Weikert Memorial Sprint Car Spectacular at Port Royal Speedway this Saturday through Monday, hunting for a major payday and a career first 410 victory. The Port Royal, Pennsylvania, “Speed Palace” will feature three consecutive full programs for the 410 sprinters during the holiday special, awarding an overall point fund in addition to each nightly purse. The programs on Saturday, May 28, and Monday, May 30, will each award $5,000 top prizes, with the in-between show on Sunday, May 29, awarding a $10,000 winner’s share. This new version of the Bob Weikert Memorial will attract Pennsylvania’s top race teams, as well as a handful of regional invaders.

“We are pretty determined to make some noise this weekend at Port Royal,” explained Brock Zearfoss. “We’ve been hungry to get that first win. This weekend would be a perfect time to earn it. I can’t thank my team enough for their hard work and effort. Sometimes things don’t go our way, but we never stop working. We are all very overdue for a victory.”

To add to the overall hype, the “Jonestown Jet” will technically jumpstart his long, holiday weekend on Friday night, May 27, back at the Williams Grove Speedway. A $4,000-to-win, Diamond Series program will headline competition at the world famous half-mile, a perfect opportunity for redemption.
