Zearfoss Earns Second Consecutive Top-Ten Finish at The Speed Palace

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (March 28, 2016) – For a second consecutive weekend, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss earned a top-ten performance at the Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania; a solid rebound after suffering from motor issues at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday night, March 25. Zearfoss, pilot of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Meckley’s Limestone, Central Builders Supply Co., Leach’s Automotive, No. 3Z, finished sixth at the “Speed Palace” on Saturday night, March 26, after starting fourth on the main event grid; racing inside the top-five for much of the 25-lap program before settling into sixth.

“Problems on Friday night hurt us a little bit, but the guys rebounded and never gave up,” Zearfoss explained regarding motor problems at Williams Grove. “The team worked all morning on Saturday to get the motor switched and the car ready to race. It feels great to get a solid finish for them; they deserved it. The car is almost perfect. If we keep plugging away like we have been, the wins will come.”

Brock Zearfoss was on his way to a career first Williams Grove Speedway victory on Friday night before mechanical issues plagued the Brock Zearfoss Racing operation. After starting on the pole, the Jonestown, Pa., native set the pace out in front of the field for the first 13 circuits of the 25-lap feature, but would be forced to retire early after noticing problems coming from the engine compartment. Zearfoss was eventually scored 21st. It would have been the first 410 sprint car victory of his career.

“Really disappointing because I think we had the car to beat,” Zearfoss said. “Not a lot you can do about it. We’ll get to try again this weekend. We hope to put the night on repeat and pick up where we had to stop.”

Brock Zearfoss will return to Williams Grove Speedway and Port Royal Speedway this Friday and Saturday, April 1-2. The “Jonestown Jet” will continue to hunt for a career first victory during 410 sprint car competition.
