VINCENTOWN, N.J. (October 7, 2024) – It’s one of the most sought-after prizes on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign trail, and for Justin Whittall and JW Motorsports – recent winners at the famed Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania – it was a chance to etch their names in the sprint car racing history book permanently. Despite a great attempt, their National Open effort was ultimately cut short of their end goal, highlighting the two-race agenda with an 11th-place score in Friday’s preliminary.

Whittall, ace of his JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, Enterprise, Prime Composite Innovations, Milky Way Restaurant, No. 67 sprint car, was forced to conclude the $75,000-to-win National Open finale in the program’s C-Main.

Friday’s A-Main was actually conducted on Saturday, as heavy fog set in forcing the program to be delayed.

“We had some high hopes heading into the weekend, and we were on a pretty solid stretch of great results, so the confidence and momentum was there,” Whittall explained. “Just didn’t end how we wanted. Those things happen. We’ll shake it off and keep moving forward.

“Not sure of an upcoming plan just yet,” Whittall added. “We’re going to weigh out some options and take it from there. It’s been an incredible year and I’m blessed to be a part of it.”
