THE RIGHT FOOT FORWARD: Aaron Reutzel victorious in Port Royal’s Night Before The 50; Lernerville Speedway doubleheader ahead
By Fully Injected Motorsports:
KNOXVILLE, Iowa (September 8, 2025) – Aaron Reutzel’s return to Ridge & Sons Racing (RSR) proved extra special for the Clute, Texas, native, not only concluding his weekend in Port Royal, Pennsylvania, with a High Limit Racing podium score in the 58th running of the Tuscarora 50, finishing 3rd from row five, but achieving victory in the process – winning Friday’s Night Before The 50 preliminary worth $10,000.
Reutzel, who was sidelined with a foot injury following an incident during Kings Royal Week at Eldora Speedway, won Friday’s preliminary from the point, nearly conquering the entire program after setting the fastest qualifying time within his respective group, racing on to finish third in his heat and win the evening’s dash. As noted, the ace of Brian and Lisa Ridge’s Power Plus, Folkens Brothers Trucking, Don Long & STC, B And L Holdings, American Table, Commercial Edge, Rasmusson Service Center, The P.O. Box, Bargain Barn, No. 87 sprinter concluded his weekend at the “Speed Palace” with a third-place outcome in the Tuscarora 50 finale, collecting another $10,000 payday as well as sole possession of the High Limit Racing championship standings – a 21-point lead over Rico Abreu Racing.
Technically, Aaron Reutzel’s return to RSR commenced Thursday, September 4, with the first of three nights of Tuscarora 50 competition. Although just missing the top-ten, Reutzel’s official return was remarkable, climbing ahead from 19th on the grid to finish 11th.
“It’s great to have Aaron [Reutzel] back. We weren’t really sure what to expect, but we were confident and we knew he’d do everything he could to be up front, even with his foot not 100% and still needing a crutch. He certainly proved he can do anything,” Brian Ridge said. “Hats off to this entire team. These guys bust their butts and they continue to amaze me. To be back on top of the championship says so much. We’ll do what we can to keep this up and work for another win at Lernerville Speedway.”
