CARLISLE, Pa. (July 11, 2022) – Spencer Bayston’s visit to Wilmot Raceway in Wilmot, Wisconsin, may have been short lived, getting caught up in a mess at the very start of the annual Badger 40, but his efforts leading into his unfortunate DNF were more than impressive.

In fact, Bayston, driver of the CJB Motorsports, TrueTimber, Signing Day Sports, Bubbly Brands, JRC Transportation, Nyce Crete and Landis, Ecynbro Trucking, C&S Lawn and Landscape, Kistler Engines, No. 5 sprint car, was in a position to be a winning threat, lining up fourth on the A-Main grid after finishing fourth in the evening’s dash. The Lebanon, Indiana, native kicked-off his evening in southern Wisconsin with the eighth-fastest qualifying time, eventually securing his dash spot with a runner-up performance in his respective heat.

“We went into Wilmot looking for another solid night, especially with such a big week ahead. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case for us,” Bayston explained. “We’ve had a really clean season so far, so I just hate it for my guys to have to put in a few days of work before we head to Ohio. I have the hardest working crew in the pit area and I’m confident we’ll bounce back stronger than ever.”

ON DECK:
Spencer Bayston and CJB Motorsports will continue their 2022 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series campaign with five races over five nights on Tuesday through Saturday, July 12-16. It all starts with the $15,000-to-win Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio, on Tuesday, July 12, followed by four straight programs at the world-famous Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Wednesday through Saturday, July 13-16. Wednesday’s Jokers Wild takes us to Thursday’s $100,000-to-win Historical Big One, and then Friday’s The Knight Before leads into Saturday’s $175,000-to-win Kings Royal.
