GRAIN VALLEY, Mo. (October 17, 2022) – After a near two-month stint in the Keystone State, Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing finally made their return to the Midwest, but instead of relaxing after an elbows-up Pennsylvania schedule with the infamous Pennsylvania Posse, All Star Circuit of Champions, and World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, “Blackjack” and his Casey’s/FVP No. 21 team went right back to work, joining the Greatest Show On Dirt in a Nebraska and Kansas double on Friday and Saturday, October 14-15.

Familiar territory for Brian Brown Racing, the Grain Valley, Missouri-based open wheel operation joined the Outlaws in visits to I-80 Speedway in Greenwood, Nebraska, and Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas, ultimately highlighting the two-day affair with one top-ten finish, that of which occurring in their Friday night stop at I-80 on October 14. Blackjack finished eighth in the $10,000-to-win program, bumping his season’s top-ten count to 38 overall, nine of those occurring with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series.

An eventual runner-up performance during his respective heat race led Brown to I-80’s dash; he went on to finish fifth.

The following evening at Lakeside Speedway, Brown finished 14th, fading slightly after starting ninth on the $10,000-to-win grid.

“We definitely had a lot of speed in our Casey’s/FVP No. 21 this weekend, and we proved that right off the trailer by setting quick time at I-80. Overall, a solid night in Nebraska…I felt like we had a shot for a top-five, but I ended up making a mistake with a lapped car that cost us some positions. Other than that, a great night,” explained Brown. “At Lakeside, we were off just a tiny bit. We didn’t give up and kept plugging away, but we couldn’t get to where we needed to be. Regardless, we still have some busy weekends ahead. We’ll work to end our season on some solid notes.”

ON DECK:
Brian Brown and Brian Brown Racing will continue their 2022 campaign with a return to the Keystone State, entering the 60th annual Champion Racing Oil National Open on Saturday, October 22. The famous battle between the Outlaws and PA Posse pays out $75,000-to-win and will be contested at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania.
