Attica, OH (August 1st, 2014) – It was a night of ‘firsts’ for both F.A.S.T. divisions. Cap Henry took command of the 30-lap Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service main event on lap six and never looked back; holding off a ninth starting Dean Jacobs for his first F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series victory of the 2014 season. The win was a career-first for Cap Henry in a ‘410’ sprint car at Attica Raceway Park. Eighth starting Byron Reed rounded out the F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series feature podium; followed by an eleventh starting Craig Mintz, and Brandon Martin. Rob Chaney was the opening leader, but would be forced to surrender the top spot on lap three due to issues with his right rear wheel. Brandon Martin would lead laps four and five before being slid by Henry. There were three cautions during the 30-lap main event including one red flag for Jody Keegan. Keegan would restart and finish fourteenth. Dean Jacobs was the evening’s ‘hard charger;’ moving forward seven positions during F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series main event action. Officially, Chris Andrews has a twenty-three point advantage in the current $10,000-to-win F.A.S.T. ‘410’ Championship Series standings heading into the August 2nd event at Fremont Speedway.

Paul Weaver would hold off defending F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series champion, Nate Dussel, for his first F.A.S.T. ‘305’ sprint win of the 2014 season on Friday night at Attica Raceway Park. Nate Dussel would finish where he started during the 25-lapper; followed by Jordan Ryan, Jason Keckler and John Ivy. The 25-lap F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series main event would go caution free. Jordan Ryan was the evening’s ‘305’ ‘hard charger;’ climbing four positions from seventh to finish third. Officially, Nate Dussel takes command of the $2,000-to-win F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series standings with one event remaining on September 6th at Fremont Speedway.

There were twenty Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service ‘410’ sprint cars signed in at Attica Raceway Park on Friday, August 1st. The twenty cars were divided into three separate groups for qualifying time trials; with Caleb Griffith, Rob Chaney and Byron Reed each recording the fastest time during their respective group qualifying sessions. Rob Chaney set the fastest time overall; with an official time of 12.499 seconds around the Attica Raceway Park bullring. Cap Henry, Rob Chaney and Byron Reed each earned heat race victories during the evening’s F.A.S.T. preliminary program. There would be no consolation B-main.

Twenty-six JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro sprint cars registered for action at Attica Raceway Park on August 1st. The twenty-six F.A.S.T. ‘305’ sprint cars were split into three group qualifying sessions; with Jordan Ryan, Steve Rando and Nate Dussel each recording the fastest time during their respective group time trial sessions. Jordan Ryan set the fastest time of the night overall; recording an official time of 13.541 seconds around the Attica 3/8’s mile dirt oval. T.J. Michael, Steve Rando and Nate Dussel each earned victories during their respective heat races. Ricky Peterson earned his way into the F.A.S.T. ‘305’ Championship Series A-main by way of winning the consolation B-main.

Caleb Griffith earned his second Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service main event win of the 2014 season on Friday evening, July 25th at the Attica Raceway Park in Attica, Ohio. It was a career-first ‘410’ sprint car victory for Griffith at the Attica bullring. Greg Wilson and Chris Andrews rounded out the podium finishers on Friday, July 25th. In recent JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro competition, it was defending series champion, Nate Dussel, earning the ‘305’ sprint win at the Attica Raceway Park on Friday, July 25th. Dussel lead Jordan Ryan and Alvin Roepke at the line. F.A.S.T. ‘410’ and ‘305’ action was canceled on Saturday, July 26th due to inclement weather conditions. That event will not be rescheduled.

Looking Ahead:

Action for the Kistler Racing Products Fremont/Attica Sprint Title Championship Series presented by KS Sales & Service will continue on Saturday evening, August 2nd at the Fremont Speedway in Fremont, Ohio. The JLH General Contractors Fremont/Attica Sprint Title ‘305’ Championship Series presented by Engine Pro will not return to competition until their ‘season finale’ on Saturday evening, September 6th at the Fremont Speedway.
