Chase Dietz Earns 2015 Williams Grove Speedway “358” Track Championship
National Open Next for Dietz/Gobrecht Duo

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

York, PA (September 28, 2015) –  Third generation sprint car driver Chase Dietz made a little more history on Friday evening, September 25, by not only claiming his fourth Williams Grove Speedway “358” victory of 2015, but by also claiming the 2015 Williams Grove Speedway “358” track championship. Dietz, pilot of the Troy Godfrey, Godfrey Racing Engines, #5, 358 sprinter, surged ahead from a ninth starting position on Friday evening to clinch his championship fate. The York, Pennsylvania, native now has two “358” track titles in central Pennsylvania during the last two seasons, beginning with a Lincoln Speedway championship in 2014.

“A great night for the Godfrey team” explained Dietz, “This championship is really special. Troy Godfrey gave me a great opportunity this season and I owe all of this to him. At the beginning of the year, we weren’t really sure what to expect. Our goal was to work as hard as we could and race our way toward the front every night. The hard work definitely paid off here and I’m thrilled to celebrate with these guys.”

“I am also happy to announce that we were able to donate $2,500 after Friday’s race” said Dietz, “That money will benefit a friend of mine who is battling cancer. I want to thank Ron Rutherford and Barry Shearer Welding for allowing that donation to happen. We’ve been able to donate over $10,000 this season. That is very exciting. ”

Chase Dietz will attempt to transfer his championship momentum from “358” competition to “410” competition beginning Thursday evening, October 1. The college freshman is preparing for three full nights with the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series during the 53rd annual Champion Racing Oil “National Open” at Williams Grove Speedway. Dietz will return to the cockpit of the Scott Gobrecht owned, Golf Cart Services, Bad Boy Buggies, ServiceMaster Clean Janitorial Service of York and Lancaster, Gettysburg Rental Company, Baker Door Company, #44, 410 sprint car for the historical event, chasing the $50,000 top prize up for grabs on Saturday, October 3. Preliminary action will take shape on Thursday and Friday, October 1-2, awarding $10,000 on each night.

During recent 410 sprint car competition, Chase Dietz entered the 2nd annual “Dirt Classic” worth $20,000 at Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Despite the struggle early in the evening, Dietz earned his way into the 40-lap main event via qualifying and heat race points; ending his night 16th during feature action. 41 cars were entered for the 2nd annual “Dirt Classic” on September 26. Dietz qualified 14th overall and finished fifth and sixth during the twin heat race format.

The Dietz/Gobrecht duo own one “410” victory in 2015 at Lincoln Speedway. It was a career-first feat for the central Pennsylvania rising star, occurring on Saturday, August 15.
