Allison Park, PA (June 22nd, 2014) – Colton Flinner will get his first-ever taste of Firecracker 100 competition this Thursday, Friday and Saturday, June 26th, 27th & 28th; entering the three-day World of Outlaws Late Model Series crown jewel event for the first time in his young career. Flinner, who pilots the American Framers, VOX Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, Bellisarios Lounge, Randig Towing, Clean Impression by Michelle, Wrap It, Crow Design, Craiger Race Engines, no. 75 super late model, has only ever been a fan at the prestigious $30,000-to-win program, but will have an opportunity to earn a starting position in the infamous 100-lapper at Lernerville Speedway this weekend. The Allison Park, Pennsylvania native, who is working towards the halfway mark of his first full year behind the wheel of a super late model, has competed in a few of crate and super late model racing’s marquee events, but nothing quite like this.

“This will be the biggest race of my career so far; no doubt about it.” said Colton Flinner, “We are really excited about racing at the Firecracker 100…its definitely grown into one of the biggest races of the year for late model racing…we really like going to Lernerville Speedway, and for it to be so close to us is also really rewarding…hopefully we can find a little luck and get the car where it needs to be, and maybe get in the big show on Saturday…I just want to thank everyone involved…there are a lot of people that support this race team, and there are a lot of people that help get this race team to the track every weekend…hopefully we can qualify for the 100 lapper during our first ever appearance…I’m super excited!”

The 2014 edition of the Firecracker 100 presented by GottaRace.com will launch on Thursday evening, June 26th with a $6,000-to-win preliminary program. Friday evening, June 27th will see a similar format; with all entries once again participating in a $6,000-to-win preliminary World of Outlaws Late Model Series program. The finale for the 2014 Firecracker 100 will take place on Saturday evening, June 28th; complete with a 100-lap/$30,000-to-win super late model main event. Colton Flinner has made a few starts at the Lernerville Speedway already in 2014; highlighted with a 6th place feature performance a number of weeks back. The two-time Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway crate late model track champion has finished as high as fourth (4th) during super late model competition this season; with that top-five taking shape at ‘P.P.M.S.’ back in late May.

Colton Flinner also plans to make an appearance at the Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania this Sunday evening, June 29th. The super late models will be featured on the Sunday evening race card along with the ‘410’ super sprint cars.
