Both Events Under Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series Banner/’Cross The Borders’ Speedweek Events

Allison Park, PA (July 9th, 2013) – Crate late model competition will resume for Colton Flinner and his American Framers, VOX Energy, A.W. Beattie Career Center, Bellisarios Lounge, no. 75 team beginning this Wednesday evening, July 10th at the Expo Speedway in Cortland, Ohio. The mid-week event will be sanctioned by the Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series, and will also act as a ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek event for the tour.

Flinner, who has been active with the FASTRAK-side of the crate late model racing world for most of 2013, will join the Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series ranks this week in hopes of scoring his first RUSH touring win. The Allison Park, Pennsylvania native will join the series this week for speedweek events not only in Cortland, Ohio on Wednesday, but also at his home track in Imperial, Pennsylvania on Saturday, July 13th. Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, just minutes from downtown Pittsburgh, will host the 2013 ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek finale for the Sweeney RUSH touring series this Saturday evening, July 13th; giving Colton Flinner an opportunity to not only score a second crate late model victory at the big half mile in 2013, but potentially score his first Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series main event win in front of his home crowd. Flinner’s previous win at ‘PPMS’ in 2013 occurred during ‘weekly’ competition.

Colton Flinner’s week of Sweeney RUSH competition will kick-off on Wednesday evening, July 10th at the Expo Speedway in Cortland, Ohio. The Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek event will be highlighted with a $2,000-to-win main event for the crate late models. Flinner has yet to visit the eastern Ohio venue in 2013, but hopes to make his first appearance one for the books

Once action is complete at the Expo Speedway on July 10th, Colton Flinner and his American Framers/Vox Energy Solutions ‘75’ team will enjoy a day off before returning to Sweeney RUSH Dirt Late Model Touring Series ‘Cross The Borders’ Speedweek competition on Saturday evening, July 13th at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway. ‘PPMS’ is what Colton Flinner would consider his home track; earning two-consecutive crate late model track championships at the facility in 2011 and 2012. The Saturday, July 13th event at ‘PPMS’ will be highlighted with a $1,200-to-win main event for the crate late models. Flinner is a recent winner at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half Mile;’ earning a Sweeney RUSH Weekly Series main event win earlier in 2013.
