By Fully Injected Motorsports:

Pittsburgh, PA (February 9th, 2015) – Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing kicked-off their 2015 campaign at the Bubba Raceway Park near Ocala, Florida during the recent weekend. The ‘59’ team joined the All Star Circuit of Champions for three consecutive nights of action at the northern Florida oval from Friday, February 6th until Sunday, February 8th. Holtgraver would earn three consecutive top-ten finishes during the three race swing; creating valuable momentum which he hopes to carry until his three week Florida trip comes to a close on February 28th.

“This was a great way to start the year” explained Holtgraver, “To come out here and earn three top ten finishes during our first weekend together says a lot about this Phoenix Racing team…they worked hard all winter long and it showed this weekend…I can’t thank Tom and Sherry Leidig enough for this opportunity…hopefully we can continue this trend all month long…a solid few weeks in Florida will set a great tone for the rest of the year.”

Holtgraver finished seventh during All Star Circuit of Champions main event action on Friday evening, February 6th at Bubba Raceway Park; climbing seven positions during feature competition to secure himself well inside the top-ten. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native would earn a fourth place finish on Saturday evening during the 30-lap main event, all before wrapping up his first weekend in Florida with a fifth place performance on Sunday evening. Kerry Madsen swept the weekend at Bubba Raceway Park; winning all three All Star Circuit of Champions programs.

“It was a great weekend but we still have a lot of work to do” said Holtgraver, “We have three more long weekends of racing left down here…things are clicking between all of us right now and it’s a good feeling…our solid finishes at ‘Bubba’ allowed us to build some confidence and momentum, but we still want that win…we’ll keep moving forward and work towards that.”

Danny Holtgraver and Phoenix Racing will move east from Ocala to the Volusia Speedway Park near Barberville, Florida later this week. The Bonnell’s Rod Shop, Auto Electric of Jupiter, Florida, Southern Pacific Farms, ‘59’ team will take part in the 44th Annual ‘DIRTcar Nationals’ for five consecutive nights at Volusia Speedway Park; beginning Wednesday, February 11th. The All Star Circuit of Champions will sanction action on Wednesday and Thursday at the half-mile dirt oval; followed by World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competition on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, February 13th, 14th & 15th.
