Pittsburgh, PA – 7/9/12} Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native and All-Star Circuit of Champions ‘Ohio Region’ competitor, Danny Holtgraver, scored a top 10 finish for Chiappelli Motorsports this past Saturday night, July 7th, at Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. Holtgraver, driving the familiar Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks ’98’ sprinter owned by Tom and Fran Chiappelli, finished 7th in the 30 lap, $5,000-to-win, Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek main event; giving Holtgraver and the Chiappelli Motorsports team their first top 10 as a newly formed operation. The ’98’ team was 1 of 38 cars signed in for action on Saturday night. Holtgraver timed inside the top 10 during qualifying time trials, and qualified for the main event by finishing fifth in his respective heat race. The solid preliminary and main event finishes, the team proved to be successful from the start.

“I’m really happy how our first night went” said Holtgraver about his first night in the Chiappelli Motorsports ’98’ sprint car, “I just really want to thank them for this opportunity…we had a solid night together so hopefully we can make that chemistry even better and build a really solid foundation!”

With one successful night under their belt, Holtgraver and Chiappelli Motorsports will move on to this weekend; where the ’98’ team plans to compete at Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on Friday night, July 13th, and then travel back to Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania on Saturday night, July 14th. If everything goes well for the Chiappelli Motorsports team during competition this Friday and Saturday, the Golden Flavor Sesame Sticks ’98’ program will then make the tow back west to Dog Hollow Speedway in Strongstown, Pennsylvania for the $3,000-to-win, Connor Bobik Memorial on Sunday, July 15th. With a possible three-race swing in store this coming weekend, Holtgraver and Chiappelli Motorsports should have enough opportunity to build plenty of positive momentum, and team chemistry, to help take on the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series invasion next Friday and Saturday, July 20th-21st, at Williams Grove Speedway.

The former Lenerville Speedway track champion will also be piloting his own Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks ‘D4’ on a few occasions in the next two weeks. Holtgraver will kick-off the upcoming weekend tomorrow night – Tuesday, July 10th – at Sharon Speedway in Hartford, Ohio for the $5,000-to-win, Lou Blaney Memorial featuring NASCAR superstars Tony Stewart, Kasey Kahne, and Dave Blaney. The midweek ‘410’ sprint car special event at Sharon Speedway will give Holtgraver an opportunity to pilot his own car before hopping back in it on Tuesday night, July 17th, for the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series sanctioned Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway. The twin 30’s format, featuring 2 – 30 lap, $15,000-to-win, World of Outlaws A-Main events at Lernerville Speedway, will give Holtgraver two opportunities to win his first World of Outlaws A-Main event in front of his home track and fans. The Alternative Power Source/Kargo Quality Cars and Trucks ‘D4’ team would also like to welcome Brian Kemenah to the program. Kemenah will be helping Holtgraver work the wrenches on the ‘D4’ machine for the remainder of the 2012 season; beginning this Tuesday, July 10th, at Sharon Speedway. The new hired hand will be traveling to all of Holtgraver’s All-Star schedule commitments. Brian Kemenah will also join Holtgraver in Knoxville, Iowa for the annual Knoxville Nationals.
