Pittsburgh, PA (October 7th, 2014) – After spending the recent weekend with ‘The Greatest Show on Dirt’ at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Danny Holtgraver will rejoin the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series trail this Saturday evening, October 11th at the Rolling Wheels Raceway Park near Elbridge, New York. Holtgraver, who pilots the Hunter Racing, Berlin Natural Bakery, Bonnell’s Rod Shop, Alternative Power Sources, WestView Motors, DKW Transport, no. 10H sprint car, will follow the national series north to Elbridge, New York for a one-night program, which takes shape during the annual NAPA Auto Parts Super DIRT Week. This will be Holtgraver’s second-ever trip to ‘New York’s Premier Motorsports Venue,’ with his first visit to the big 5/8’s mile oval being in 2009. The Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania native continues to hunt for a career-first World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series main event win, and will continue that hunt this Saturday night at Rolling Wheels.

“I haven’t been to Rolling Wheels since 2009 so I am due for a trip back” said Holtgraver, “We missed the show during my first visit, but hopefully I can rebound and get the 10H up front on Saturday…it’s a big track that requires a lot of momentum and we’ve been successful on tracks like that this year…there isn’t a lot of racing left (in 2014)  so we want to race with the World of Outlaws as much as possible…I just want to thank everyone involved; My Dad, Pup, Earl, Sandy, Rob Hunter…we want that first ‘Outlaw’ win so we are going to work towards that this weekend.”

The Hunter Racing ‘10H’ team recently competed with the World of Outlaws STP Sprint Car Series at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania; during the 52nd Annual ‘National Open.’ After being ‘rained-out’ during Friday night’s preliminary program just before qualifying time trials ended, Danny Holtgraver would rejoin the ‘Outlaws’ on Saturday night, October 4th during the Williams Grove Speedway ‘National Open’ finale. The former Lernerville Speedway track champion earned a heat race victory on Saturday night, automatically qualifying himself for the 40-lap, $50,000-to-win main event. Holtgraver would finish 16th after starting the main event from the outside of row number five. There were 55 cars entered for competition.

“It was a pretty good night…we had some trouble on a late restart that put us back a bunch of positions, but that’s how it goes sometimes” explained Holtgraver, “Some of the best drivers in the country were there all weekend at Williams Grove, so to qualify for the main event is pretty awesome in its own respect…I just want to thank Rob Hunter…he gives me the opportunity to race each and every weekend…we have some time left this year…hopefully we can get a few more wins for him before the season wraps up!”
