USAC, ARDC, NDRL, Late Model Spdwk, Fan Appreciation, Pepsi Night, Fireworks – All On Tap!

Port Royal – Beginning with the Memorial Day Saturday Fallen Heroes Championships at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, May 24, a big, rich and diverse month of racing action and fanfare is set to unfold at the historic oval.

The May 24, 7 pm program features the triple 25s Fallen Heroes Championships for the Aumiller’s Insurance 410 sprints, Jake’s Carts super late models and the River Valley Builders 305 sprints with the 410s racing for $5,000 to win and the super late models vying for $2,000 to win.

The 410 sprint feature will be the second and final leg of a two-race shootout series with Roaring Knob Speedway. The top three point men from the combined finishes of the May 18 Roaring Knob event and the May 24 Port Royal race will receive a separate payoff of $300, $200 and $100 respectively.

The program will also be Pepsi Night, with hundreds of free Pepsi prizes going to fans including shirts or hats to the first 200 attendees. It will also be Packer’s Concession Night at the track along with York County Racing Club Night featuring a fireworks display to kick off the summer season.

May 31 will feature double 410 sprint mains as the make up 25-lap sprint feature held over from a rain out on May 3 is staged along with another full program of sprint car action plus racing for the Gray’s Auto and Towing 355 econo lates, Len Krautheim xtreme stocks and the All American Outlaws.

The big late May program will be Free Military Night sponsored by Slivinski Law Offices of Selinsgrove offering free general admission for past or present members of the military with proper ID.

And then just two nights later on Monday, June 2 the finale of Late Model Speedweek will hit Port Royal when the series champion will be crowned with the running of the Charlie Grinestaff Memorial, getting underway at 7 pm.

The super late model feature will pay $4,000 to win and will go 40 laps in distance.

Next up on Saturday, June 7 at 7 pm will be the high-flying, wingless USAC super sprints along with the ARDC Midgets and the 355 econo lates.

The big USAC show will again be part of the United States Auto Club’s Eastern Storm tour, paying $6,000 to win for 30 laps of feature action.

June 7 will also be the annual Penn Central/EMMR Racing Reunion at the track with dozens of vintage racecars on display before and during the races while the 2014 Port Royal Founders Awards are also bestowed.

And then on June 14 it will be Fan Appreciation/Camera & Autograph Night offering $10 adult general admission to all for a full program of 410 sprints, late models, 305 sprints and xtreme stocks plus a make up 305 sprint main postponed from May 3.

The night will also offer the FNB of Mifflintown Kids Money Scramble on the frontstretch when over $500 in coins will be scattered for attending youth to gather.

And finally, to cap it all off on Saturday, June 21 at 7 pm the first ever show in Central Pennsylvania for the National Dirt Racing League (NDRL) Northeast Super Late Models will be staged along with action including the 410 sprints and econo late models.

The outstanding, high profile night of action will bring some of the brightest stars in Northeast dirt late model racing to the Port Royal Pits.
