KIDS NIGHT AND LATE MODEL CHAMPIONSHIP HIGHLIGHTS OF PORT ROYAL JULY 13 PROGRAM
410 sprints, late models and pro stocks on racing card

Port Royal – Port Royal Speedway will present a championship event for the Gray’s Auto & Towing Late Models paying $2,000 to win and $200 to start along with a program of Aumiller’s Insurance 410 sprints and pro stocks this Saturday, July 13 at 7:30 pm on Kids Night.

The Kids Night program will offer hundreds of prizes for youngsters ages 12 and under on a first come/first serve basis. Prizes up for grabs include bicycles, video games, board games, passes to Hershey Park, Knoebel’s Grove Amusement Resort and more.

During intermission, bicycle, big wheel and power wheel races will be held on the speedway front stretch for youth ages 12 and under. Helmets are required in order to compete.

The late model championship will be 25 laps in distance boasting an increased purse. There will be no time trials.

Nick Dickson is the most recent late model winner at the track while Blane Heimbach won the Pennsylvania Speedweek feature for sprint cars on July 6 to record two wins in a row dating back to June 22.

There will be no racing at the speedway on July 20.

The oval will be back in action on July 27 with Juniata County Fire and Rescue EMS Night featuring 410 sprints, late models and 305 sprints.

Fire trucks and ambulance crews from all over Juniata County will be on hand for the special recognition night that will include fire truck rides on the grounds prior to the races and a parade around the speedway during intermission.
