Red River Speedway On Deck for T.J. Michael
Back-to-Back ‘305’ Events on February 13th & 14th

Plano, Texas (February 12th, 2015) – The 2015 season will start a little earlier than planned for Texas native T.J. Michael. IMCA Racesaver ‘305’ sprint car competition will highlight the upcoming weekend for Michael; with back-to-back nights of racing scheduled at the Red River Speedway near Iowa Park, Texas. Michael will pilot the Kenny Clark owned no. 18 ‘305’ sprinter this Friday and Saturday, February 13th & 14th at Red River Speedway, with crew Scott Bartson and Glynn Evans in tow. While Evans will only be with Michael a portion of the season, Bartson will be teaming with T.J. Michael during his entire 2015 campaign.
“We weren’t supposed to start racing until later this month, but things are ready to go sooner than planned” explained T.J. Michael, “We brought Kenny Clark’s car down from Ohio and everything is ready to race…my crew chief Scott Bartson arrived on Monday and he has been a huge help…Glynn Evans has also been working hard helping us get everything ready to go…I can’t thank both of them enough for what they do for this team…we have a nice schedule planned for the next few weekends…hopefully we can get the year started right and earn a win.”
The double-header at Red River Speedway will initiate a busy month of February for T.J.Michael. The Texan will continue his 2015 schedule at the Lonestar Speedway in Kilgore, Texas on Saturday, February 21st; followed by a visit to the Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale, Texas on Saturday, February 28th. Although a majority of Michael’s 2015 campaign is centered around ‘410’ sprint car competition, his entire February schedule is comprised of ‘305’ events.
“We plan to do a lot of ‘410’ racing this year, but racing the ‘305’ during the next few weeks will allow us to get a jump on the season” said T.J. Michael, “There are a lot of events close to home here in Texas…gives us an opportunity to race in front of family, friends and some of our sponsors…hopefully the weather cooperates and we can get everything in this month.”
