Alan Krimes Mid-Winter Update – Will Chase Lincoln Speedway Championship in 2013

Denver, PA (1-16-2013) – After taking a lot into consideration during the most recent ‘off-season’ winter months, Alan Krimes and the Conestoga Valley Garage ’87’ sprint car team have decided to leave out their plans to venture south this February with the All-Star Circuit of Champions, and instead, plant their focus on Lincoln Speedway and it’s season opener on Saturday, February 23rd. Alan Krimes will indeed chase the 2013 Lincoln Speedway ‘410’ sprint car track championship, as well as follow the entire 2013 Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek trail; in search of an overall title. If the Denver, Pennsylvania native can clinch either championship this season, it would be a career-first accomplishment.
Alan Krimes proved to be more than a weekly contender at Abbottstown, Pennsylvania’s Lincoln Speedway in 2012; finishing 4th in the final speedway standings last season on the strength of one (1) win and fifteen (15) top-five finishes. The Conestoga Valley Garage/Krimes Racing Engines ’87’ program would also earn a second place finish in the final Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek standings last season. The team’s overall success in 2012 proved to themselves, and to their entire fan base, that they have the potential to not only earn a Lincoln Speedway track championship, but also a Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek championship; resulting in the decision to chase both this season.
With the ’87’ team’s main focus being spotlighted on the 2013 Lincoln Speedway track championship, and the 2013 Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek title, it makes traveling to other select events in the region very difficult. Krimes will be in action at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania on select Friday evenings in 2013 for ‘410’ competition. The Denver native will also be making appearances at the Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberrytown, Pennsylvania for their Sunday night ‘410’ sprint car events this upcoming season.
