Whittall to face-off against Outlaws in Williams Grove Summer Nationals

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

VINCENTOWN, N.J. (July 19, 2021) – With the intent to represent his New Jersey fanbase in a big way, Vincentown, New Jersey’s Justin Whittall will join the Great Show On Dirt on two separate occasions during the coming weekend, set to take part in Williams Grove Speedway’s annual Summer Nationals on Friday and Saturday, July 23-24. The two-day World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series showcase will be highlighted with a $20,000-to-win main event on Saturday, kicking off with a $10,000-to-win preliminary on Friday.

Whittall, driver of the JW Motorsports, JG Kronenberger Fine Jewelry, Mid-Atlantic Transport, Brotherton Brewing Company, Beechwood Landscape Architecture and Construction LLC, Pioneer Auto Body, Worldwide Bearings, FK Rod Ends, Stilo Helmets, Keizer Aluminum Wheels, Enterprise, Ground Blind Boys, No. 67 sprint car, is a former Williams Grove Speedway winner, accomplishing his first-ever feat at the world-famous paperclip on Friday, June 4.

“I’m excited for the opportunity to join the Outlaws this weekend. The atmosphere at Outlaw events is second to none and we’re ready to throw our hat in the ring,” Whittall said. “I can’t thank my family, my team, and all of my supporters enough for their dedication this season. We’ve had a lot of ups and downs, but everyone stays motivated and I’m thankful for that. I’m hoping to turn some heads this weekend. It’s not going to be easy, and it all starts with qualifying.”

Whittall’s aforementioned Williams Grove Speedway win, a wire-to-wire victory from the front row, scored the Vincentown, New Jersey-native a $6,000 payday, holding back fellow front row starter, Kyle Moody, and a quick moving Danny Dietrich in the process.

Whittall finished 12th in his most recent Williams Grove start on July 16.

Zearfoss caps Eldora visit with top-ten in Knight Before The Kings Royal; Pennsylvania trio ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

JONESTOWN, Pa. (July 19, 2021) – A great momentum kick heading into a three-race stint in his home state of Pennsylvania, the “Jonestown Jet” Brock Zearfoss concluded his recent stretch in the Buckeye State with a top-ten performance at Eldora Speedway, doing so with an eighth-place score in the Knight Before The Kings Royal – the day after the Kings Royal – on Sunday, July 18. The $12,000-to-win showcase was contested on Sunday afternoon after its original date, Friday, July 16, was washed away by Mother Nature.

Zearfoss, driver of the Brock Zearfoss Racing, Moose’s LZ Bar & Grill, Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts Inc., C&D Rigging Inc., Meckley’s Limestone Products, Berkebile Oil Company, Klick Lewis Cars, J.P. Adamsky Trucking, X-1 Race Cars, No. 3Z sprint car, commenced his top-ten performance from the inside of row seven. The five-spot rally ultimately bumped Zearfoss’ top-ten count to 12 with the Greatest Show On Dirt this season, maintaining tenth in the Series standings.

Although Zearfoss’ four prior starts did not result in top-ten outcomes, the Jonestown, Pennsylvania-native was impressive in his own right, qualifying for not only the Brad Doty Classic A-Main at Attica Raceway Park on July 13, but also the Jokers Wild feature on July 14, and each of the $175,000-to-win Kings Royals on Saturday, July 17. Zearfoss highlighted the four-race campaign with a ten-spot rally during the 38th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday afternoon, capping the 40-lapper in the 14th spot after starting 24th. The former Port Royal Speedway track champion went on to finish 22nd in the 37th Annual Kings Royal later that evening, earning an automatic bid via fastest qualifying time overall.

Each of Eldora’s Kings Royals were contested on Saturday, the 38th annual in the afternoon and the 37th annual later that evening, due to Mother Nature interfering earlier in the week.

“It was a long week, but to end things on a high note is pretty special. Anytime you can get a little boost of momentum before having the opportunity to race close to home is really important. We want to represent our fans and partners well this week, and to have a little extra confidence on our side is really important,” Brock Zearfoss said, a former World of Outlaws winner at Williams Grove Speedway. “I can’t thank my team, my family, and all of our partners enough for their dedication and support in 2021. It takes a lot of time and hard work to be a full-time Outlaw team, but with a great support network behind you, it’s all the easier.”

Brock Zearfoss and Brock Zearfoss Racing will continue their 2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Rookie of the Year campaign with the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway on Tuesday, July 20, followed by Williams Grove Speedway’s annual Summer Nationals on Friday and Saturday, July 23-24. The Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup will award a $25,000 top prize, while the two-day blockbuster at Williams Grove will feature two, complete programs headlined with a $20,000-to-win main event on Saturday.

Dietrich second and tenth in Kings Royal doubleheader; Williams Grove Summer Nationals highlights upcoming agenda

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (July 19, 2021) – Danny Dietrich’s last minute decision to join the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series for the annual Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park, and the double Kings Royal program at Eldora Speedway, certainly paid off, ultimately translating four main event starts into a pair of top-ten finishes, each of which taking shape during Kings Royal main event action. Needless to say, it was a career weekend for the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania-native, ready to use his momentum boost for the annual Williams Grove Speedway Summer Nationals on Friday and Saturday, July 23-24.

After a 13th-place score during Attica’s Brad Doty Classic on July 13, earning his way into the $10,000-to-win dance via third-place finish during his respective heat race, Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, No. 48 sprint car, kicked-off Eldora Speedway competition with the $10,000-to-win Jokers Wild on Wednesday, July 14. Unfortunately, Dietrich would miss main event action, forced to surrender after failing to transfer through the evening’s C-Main.

Despite his poor start at The Big E, Dietrich persevered and represented his Pennsylvania Posse fanbase proudly, eventually earning A-Main starting positions in each of the $175,000-to-win Kings Royal main events on Saturday afternoon and evening (each contested on Saturday due to Mother Nature interference). “Double-D” went on to finish second in the 38th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday afternoon, followed by a tenth-place score during the 37th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday evening. Dietrich earned his way into each of the 40-lappers via heat race transfer positions, finishing second and third, respectively.

Technically, Dietrich finished third in the first $175,000-to-win Kings Royal, but David Gravel, who finished second, was light at the scales giving Dietrich the position.

“What a weekend. I just can’t thank everyone enough for the opportunity to be there. It wasn’t even on our schedule, but a change of heart led us there and it paid off,” Dietrich said, who owns two victories thus far in 2021, as well as a Pennsylvania Sprint Speedweek championship. “I can’t thank everyone enough..Gary Kauffman, my crew, my dad and brother, all of our partners. We’re pretty fortunate to be in this position and we’re proud to give our fans back home something to be excited about. We get to battle the Outlaws on our home turf next, so we’ll aim to get one spot better this weekend.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with Williams Grove Speedway’s annual Summer Nationals on Friday and Saturday, July 23-24. The two-day World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series blockbuster will feature two, complete shows headlined with a $20,000-to-win main event on Saturday.

If plans fall into place, Dietrich will activate the week with a visit to Selinsgrove Speedway on Tuesday, July 20.

Kerry Madsen guides Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing No. 14 to a top-five in Eldora’s Jokers Wild

Dates: Wednesday through Saturday, July 14th-17th
Event: 37th and 38th Annual Kings Royal
Series: World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series
Track: Eldora Speedway (Rossburg, Ohio)
Kerry Madsen A-Main Finishes (Start):
Wednesday Evening | Jokers Wild: 4th (4th)
Saturday Afternoon | 38th Annual Kings Royal: 22nd (12th)
Saturday Evening | 37th Annual Kings Royal: DNF | Scratch

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (July 19, 2021) – Despite suffering from some bad luck in each of the $175,000-to-win Kings Royal programs at Eldora Speedway, both of which contested on the same day – Saturday, July 17 – due to Mother Nature’s wrath on Thursday and Friday, the “Madman” Kerry Madsen showed a lot of promise in the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Rush Truck Centers/Advance Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Digital Ally/Sage Fruit/FloRacing/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/Mobil 1/Carquest Auto Parts/J&J Auto Racing/No. 14 sprint car and kicked-off his Elorda visit with a top-five score on Wednesday, July 14.

Madsen, who has been substituting for three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and NASCAR Hall of Famer, Tony Stewart, for the last several weeks, earned his top-five during Eldora Speedway’s Jokers Wild, starting fourth on the grid before finishing in the exact same position. The Knoxville, Iowa, local via New South Wales, Australia, earned his way into the Jokers Wild A-Main via heat race victory, launching the program with the fastest time during his respective group qualifying time trials.

Unfortunately, Madsen’s momentum on Wednesday did not transfer into Saturday’s Kings Royal doubleheader, forced to end both programs on the hook; scored 22nd during the 38th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday afternoon after contact with another competitor, followed by another case of incidental contact during Saturday evening’s 37th Annual Kings Royal heat race. Regardless, there was a silver lining in Madsen’s string of bad luck, as the recent World of Outlaws winner aboard the TSR No. 14 timed sixth-quick overall for Saturday afternoon’s program, finishing second during his respective heat to make the big dance.

An upcoming schedule for Kerry Madsen and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing has yet to be determined. Fans are encouraged to keep alert online, as well as on social media, for continuing updates regarding Madsen’s Tony Stewart Racing schedule.

Saturday Evening | 37th Annual Kings Royal: 18th (6th)

2021 World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series Championship Standings: Fourth | 6122 points [248 points behind championship leader, Brad Sweet]

BROWNSBURG, Ind. (July 19, 2021) – It was a long week in the Buckeye State for Fargo, North Dakota’s Donny Schatz, as the ten-time World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series champion participated in five major programs across six days, two of which – on behalf of Mother Nature’s inability to cooperate – contested on the same day. In all, Schatz, driver of the Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing/Carquest Auto Parts/Curb Records/Ford Performance/Sage Fruit/Digital Ally/Advance Auto Parts/Rush Truck Centers/Absolute Automation and Security/Hunt Brothers Pizza/J&J Auto Racing/No. 15 sprint car, left Ohio with a trio of top-ten finishes; a perfect momentum kick for a long stretch of big money races in July and August.

Schatz kicked-off his Ohio stretch with a top-five outcome in the annual Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 13th. Forced to do things the hard way, Schatz’ eventual top-five performance was the product of row 11, eventually climbing 18 spots to finish fourth after starting 22nd on the feature grid, simultaneously solidifying the evening’s Hard Charger Award. A sixth-place finish during heat race competition forced Schatz to participate in the evening’s Last Chance Showdown. Schatz would ultimately transfer, resulting in his eleventh-row A-Main starting position.

As mentioned, Mother Nature put a twist in Eldora Speedway’s double Kings Royals schedule forcing Schatz and Tony Stewart/Curb-Agajanian Racing to compete in a pair of $175,000-to-win main events in a single day. Originally slated to be contested on Thursday, July 15, and Saturday, July 17, the 38th Annual Kings Royal and the 37th Annual Kings Royal were contested on Saturday afternoon and Saturday evening, respectively. Despite his attempt on Saturday evening resulting in an 18th-place score, Schatz’ performance during Saturday afternoon’s 38th Annual Kings Royal ended seventh in the running order, earning his way into the big dance by way of heat race victory.

The $10,000-to-win Jokers Wild, the 38th Annual Kings Royal preliminary program, was contested on Wednesday, July 14, as originally scheduled, but the $12,000-to-win Knight Before The Kings Royal, the 37th Annual Kings Royal preliminary program, was moved to Sunday, also due to Mother Nature. Schatz would go on to finish 13th and fifth, respectively, highlighting the preliminary events with a three-spot jump on Sunday.

The “Month of Money” for the Greatest Show On Dirt will continue on Tuesday evening, July 20, with the Don Martin Memorial Silver Cup at Lernerville Speedway in Sarver, Pennsylvania. The midweek program will award a $25,000 top prize; Schatz is the defending Silver Cup champion, as well as the owner of seven Silver Cup titles since accomplishing his first in 2006.

Williams Grove Speedway’s annual Summer Nationals will take over headlines on Friday and Saturday, July 23-24. The champion will receive a $20,000 payday.

Westfall and Ray Marshall score consecutive top-fives in Gas City and Atomic starts

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

FOREST, Ohio (July 12, 2021) – A productive weekend for the Ray Marshall Motorsports stable, primary wheelman, Matt Westfall, took advantage of his two-race sweep and rattled off back-to-back top-five performances aboard the “Bumblebee Express” No. 33M, visiting familiar territory in Gas City I-69 Speedway and Atomic Speedway on Friday and Saturday, July 9-10.

Westfall, a one-time winner thus far in 2021, kicked-off his weekend with Gas City’s Beach Night Bash on Friday, ending the contest fifth in the running order after starting sixth on the evening grid; a runner-up finish during heat race competition allowed Westfall to automatically qualify for the 25-lap finale.

Westfall’s Saturday night top-five at Atomic Speedway occurred during Buckeye Outlaw Sprint Series (BOSS) competition, utilizing the pole position to lead the first two circuits before fading slightly to third. The pilot of the Ray Marshall-owned/Ray Marshall Motorsports/Buckeye Machine Fabricators, Inc./Hempy Water/DPI Ink/non-wing sprinter ignited his evening at the Atomic highbanks with the fastest qualifying time during his respective group, followed by a fourth-place finish during his respective heat race; Westfall earned the pole via redraw.

“It was a pretty solid weekend for our team. I’m proud of everyone involved,” Matt Westfall expressed, a former BOSS Series champion for Ray Marshall Motorsports. “We owe it all to Ray Marshall. He loves everything about this sport and it’s his love and passion that allows us to do what we do. We’re going to take a much needed weekend break, but we’ll be back in action with BOSS in a few weeks.”

Hobaugh’s Lou Blaney Memorial effort cut short; Lernerville and Port Royal stand next

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

CHICORA, Pa. (July 12, 2021) – Chicora, Pennsylvania’s George Hobaugh was well on his way to another impressive All Star Circuit of Champions finish at Sharon Speedway on Saturday evening, only to be denied by accidental contact with an infield tire on lap 17. The recent Sharon Speedway winner was battling in the runner-up position at the time of the incident, leading the first 12 circuits of the $8,000-to-win Lou Blaney Memorial before losing the top spot to eventual winner and full-time All Star, Spencer Bayston. Unfortunately, the incident left Hobaugh’s car unrepairable; he was scored 23rd.

Hobaugh, driver of the Hobaugh Motorsports, Krill Recycling, Laskowski Plumbing, Ridgeview Security, Hobaugh’s Auto Parts, Colliers Custom Kitchen and Bath, No. 40 sprint car, started from the outside-pole position for the Blaney 30-lapper, earning the front row by way of heat race victory, as well as dash victory; there were 43 cars entered for action.

“That wasn’t the end result we wanted, but we were right there, so it feels good to know where we stand,” Hobaugh said, who finished fifth against the All Star Circuit of Champions at Sharon Speedway during Ohio Sprint Speedweek. “We have a pretty solid notebook built for Sharon right now. Every time we’ve raced there, we’ve been fast. I think if we get lady luck on our side, we’ll get a win against the All Stars at that place.”

George Hobaugh and Hobaugh Motorsports will continue their 2021 season with another doubleheader in the Keystone State, set to visit Lernerville Speedway and Port Royal Speedway on Friday and Saturday, July 16-17. Hobaugh’s visit to Lernerville will act as a primary test session for upcoming World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competition, as the Greatest Show On Dirt will invade Sarver, Pennsylvania, for the annual $25,000-to-win Silver Cup on Tuesday, July 20.

Dietrich 13th to fourth in Lou Blaney Memorial; Brad Doty Classic and Kings Royal ahead

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

GETTYSBURG, Pa. (July 12, 2021) – “Double-D” Danny Dietrich has certainly found his rhythm in the Buckeye State, once again translating an All Star Circuit of Champions start into a top-five outcome, this time during Sharon Speedway’s 13th Annual Lou Blaney Memorial on Saturday, July 10. To make matters more impressive, Dietrich’s top-five commenced from row seven, using the 30-lap contest to power ahead from 13th to finish fourth; there were 43 cars on hand for the $8,000-to-win program.

Certainly no stranger to the area, Dietrich is a recent All Star Circuit of Champions winner at the Sharon Speedway short track, leading every circuit of the 30-lap Ohio Sprint Speedweek contest to score a $6,000 payday. Although it was a first-ever Ohio Sprint Speedweek victory for the Gettysburg, Pennsylvania-native, a first-ever Series triumph in Ohio, period, the win bumped Dietrich’s career total to 14 with America’s Series, many of which occurring in the Empire State.

“We really do love racing in Ohio, and we’ve decided to stay a little while longer,” Danny Dietrich said, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing, Weikert’s Livestock, Sandoe’s Fruit Market, Pace Performance, Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts, Bowhunters Superstore, Drop Of Ink Tattoo, Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC, Self Made, No. 48 sprint car. “It was a last minute decision, for the most part, but we’re going to stick around and race the Brad Doty Classic at Attica, followed by all four nights of the Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway. I’m excited for the opportunity and I certainly wouldn’t be in this position without my crew, and of course, Gary Kauffman. He gives us what we need to be competitive and I am very much grateful for that.”

Danny Dietrich and Gary Kauffman Racing will continue their 2021 campaign with five World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series starts in five days, all of which activating with the $10,000-to-win Brad Doty Classic at Attica Raceway Park on Tuesday, July 13.

A short, two-hour jaunt south out of Attica will lead Dietrich to his next destination, set to spend four days at the World’s Greatest Dirt Track, Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio, on Wednesday through Saturday, July 14-17.

Highlighted with a pair of six-figure paydays, Eldora Speedway’s four-day blockbuster will feature two, separate $175,000-to-win Kings Royals, the 38th Annual Kings Royal on Thursday and the 37th Annual Kings Royal on Saturday, with a pair of preliminary events, Jokers Wild on Wednesday and the Knight Before the Kings Royal on Friday, stacked in between. Each of the preliminary programs will award $10,000 paydays, creating a $380,000 potential for the five-day World of Outlaws stretch.
