ARDC Midgets
Set To Invade
“Dirt’s Monster Half Mile”

PITTSBURGH, PA — The “Mighty Midgets” of the American Racing Drivers Club, Inc. (ARDC) will make their annual trek east to Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway this Saturday, August 24th. The “mighty midgets” will battle each other in three and four wide racing action that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. A complete program for the Diehl of Robinson Super Late Models, Precise Racing Products RUSH Pro-Late Models, Sunoco Race Fuels Late Model Sportsman, Miley BP Carwash Hobby Stocks and Imperial Heights Garage Young Guns will complete the evening’s racing action.

“The feedback from the fans the past two years has been tremendous and we are happy to welcome back the ARDC teams and officials for another visit. We are hopeful that the fans will once again show their support this Saturday,” commented speedway owner Matt Miley.

Alex Bright was the victor when the ARDC Midgets visited PPMS last August as he scored the win over P.J. Gargiulo and Brenden Bright. Ryan Smith scored the win when the group made their appearance in more than two decades in 2011 as he defeated Andrew Hannula and Nick Wean.

Thus far in 2013 ARDC action Steve Buckwalter has tallied four wins and Trevor Kobylarz and Bruce Buckwalter, Jr. each have two victories. Steve Drevicki, Kyle Lick, Shawn Jackson, Tim Buckwalter and Alex Bright have all scored one victory a piece.

Kobylarz is the current Series’ points leader followed by Bruce Buckwalter, Jr., Drevicki, Gargiulo and Brett Arndt. Ryan Greth, Tony DiMattia, Bright, Lick and Wean hold down the sixth through tenth positions in the points’ battle.

In Diehl of Robinson Super Late Model action Alex Ferree holds a two point lead over defending divisional champion Michael Norris. Jim Stephans, Kyle Lukon and Lynn Geisler round out the top five. All have scored at least one feature win this season and are expected to battle for this week’s victory as well. Steve Baker captured the divisional win two weeks ago as the “West Virginia Rim Rider” used a motor that had been in the corner of his race shop for several years to score the very popular win and is hopeful he can score victory number two this Saturday. Others who have plans to visit victory lane include Brandon Burgoon, Jared Miley, Ben Miley and Tony Musolino.

In the Precise Racing Products RUSH Pro-Late Model Division Kyle Lukon holds down the top spot in the points battle with sister, Laura following in the second position. Kyle has claimed five wins while Laura scored her lone victory on July 20th. “Mr. Persistent” Mark Moats currently sits in the third spot in the points battle. The Hookstown, PA driver was the runner-up to Nico Dabecco last Saturday and is definitely due for a victory as is fourth place driver Justin Lamb. Like Moats, Lamb has also looked strong on several occasions this season and is certainly looking for his first win of the 2013 season.

Bill Robertson has been the hotshoe in the Sunoco Race Fuels Late Model Sportsman as he has picked up five wins this far. Other winners include Nick Kocuba, Brian Huchko, Jeff Bronsizewski, Rusty Martz and Vince Laboon.
