MYERSTOWN, Pa. (April 8, 2019) – The ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks scored his first World of Outlaws top-ten finish of the 2019 season on Friday night, doing so by capitalizing on an inside-second row starting position to finish sixth at USA Raceway near Tucson, Arizona.

Marks, who started third on the feature grid by virtue of his third place finish during the evening’s dash, battled near the front during his entire visit to USA Raceway, ultimately ending his evening at the Wildcat Shootout with a runner-up finish during heat race competition, a third place finish during dash competition, and a top-ten during feature action.

“We needed that one,” Brent Marks explained, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “This team has been working incredibly hard. They deserved this. We were in need of a positive momentum boost. I think bigger and better things are ahead for this team.”

In addition to his top-ten finish at USA Raceway, Marks scored an 11th place finish the following evening at Arizona Speedway near Queen Creek. Marks started eighth on the feature grid, the product of a third place finish during heat race competition.

Up next on the schedule, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ will venture east for a two-day stop at the Devil’s Bowl Speedway near Mesquite, Texas, on Friday and Saturday, April 12 & 13. Despite the Texas Outlaw Nationals being the last time the World of Outlaws will visit the Lone Star State in 2019, Marks is excited for the opportunity, as M&M Painting & Construction is headquartered in Texas.

“It’s exciting to have the opportunity to visit Texas again,” Brent Marks continued. “Any chance we get to race in M&M’s home state is a huge bonus for us. Hopefully we can put our momentum to good use this weekend and get back into the top-ten.”

Marks finished 11th and ninth, respectively, during his most recent visit to Devil’s Bowl Speedway in 2018.
