MYERSTOWN, Pa. (April 15, 2019) – Concluding a southern sweep that included visits to Arizona and Texas, the ‘Myerstown Missile’ Brent Marks spent his recent weekend in the Lone Star State, joining the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series during the annual Texas Outlaw Nationals at Devil’s Bowl Speedway on Friday and Saturday, April 12 & 13.

Although the two-day visit was cut to one day due to Mother Nature, Brent Marks made the most of his trip to the historic Devil’s Bowl Speedway in Mesquite and finished 13th during main event competition on Friday, April 12.

Increasingly narrow track conditions, the end-result of a rubber-down racing surface, made passing a premium during certain segments of the race; Brent Marks started 14th.

“It wasn’t a bad night for our team. When the track starts to build rubber like that, it can make things really tricky, especially when you’re trying to pass. At that point, all you can do is hold your line and keep the car straight,” Brent Marks explained, driver of the Brent Marks Racing/M&M Painting & Construction/BAPS Auto Paint & Supply/Eagle Hotel/No. 19 sprint car. “I’m not sure what we plan to do next weekend. We may try and make a start at Port Royal Speedway since we’ll be home, but I’m not too sure.”

Brent Marks will enjoy a potential off-weekend before returning to World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series competition on Friday through Sunday, April 26-28. The Greatest Show On Dirt will visit a trio of tracks spread across areas of Missouri and Illinois, first visiting Lake Ozark Speedway in Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., on Friday, April 26. Action will continue on Saturday and Sunday, April 27 & 28, with visits to Federated Auto Parts Raceway at I-55 in Pevely, Mo., and Jacksonville (Ill.) Speedway, respectively.

Pending a decision later in the week, Brent Marks may enter local action at Port Royal Speedway on Saturday, April 20.
