Brent Marks increases WoO top-ten count to eight

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

MYERSTOWN, PA (May 25, 2017) – Myerstown, Pennsylvania’s Brent Marks, a Rookie of the Year contender with the Greatest Show On Dirt, ended his first World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series stretch through the Northeast with a pair of top-ten finishes, the most recent occurring on Wednesday evening, May 24, at the New Egypt Speedway in New Egypt, New Jersey. For Marks, the pair of top-ten performances increases his overall count to eight on the season, also scoring a top-ten finish during the World of Outlaws visit to Williams Grove Speedway on Friday, May 19. Each of Marks’ top-ten achievements were the result of tenth place finishes.

With his recent top-tens included, the “Myerstown Missile” is now 12th in the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series championship chase, as well as second the Rookie of the Year standings. A 20-point push would put Marks inside the top-ten of the World of Outlaws championship.

“Things have been going pretty well for us. When things are good, they are really good, and when things are bad, they tend to become really obvious. We just need to find that happy-medium,” Brent Marks explained. “Anytime you can earn a top-ten finish with the World of Outlaws says a lot about your program and what you are capable of doing. We’ll just keep working hard and continue to look for ways to improve.”

Brent Marks’ rookie campaign with the Greatest Show On Dirt will continue with two programs over Memorial Day weekend, first visiting The Dirt Track at Charlotte for the Outlaw Showdown on Friday, May 26; a perfect opportunity to test and tune before returning to the Charlotte, North Carolina, complex for the annual World of Outlaws World Finals in November.

Marks will end his holiday weekend by participating in the Memorial Day Spectacular presented by KOI Auto Parts at Lawrenceburg Speedway in Lawrenceburg, Indiana; the final World of Outlaws appearance in The Hoosier State this season.

“Every race is an important race,” Brent Marks said. “We’ve been making a lot of progress this year and I owe it all to my team. I wouldn’t be where I am right now without their determination.”
