Chase Dietz Returns, Shakes Down Family Car During First Start

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

YORK, Pa. (April 27, 2016) –  For the first time since early March, Chase Dietz entered 410 sprint car competition at Lincoln Speedway. The third generation racer registered his family-owned, Haas Shocks, Godfrey Racing Engines, Embee & Sons, Gardy Enterprises, Mark’s Automotive, Pancho’s Race Products, Keizer Wheels, Beer Hill Gang, No. 2D for the Saturday, April 23, program, searching for a positive momentum kick to help launch his return to open wheel racing. Despite finishing outside of the top-ten, Dietz expressed progress, already anxious for his return to the driver seat.

“We have some things we need to change and fix up, but all in all, we had a fun night,” said Chase Dietz. “We kinda took our time putting this deal together during the last few weeks. We still have some bugs to work out, but nothing too demanding. I’m just excited to be racing again.”

Chase Dietz finished 16th during main event action at Lincoln Speedway on Saturday night, advancing forward after starting 20th on the grid. The York, Pennsylvania, native had to qualify for the feature program the hard way, racing through the evening’s consolation with a runner-up finish. Plans to return to Lincoln Speedway have yet to be finalized. Dietz and team will decide on an upcoming schedule during the days to come.

“We aren’t real sure on a set schedule yet,” explained Chase Dietz. “We are going to race as often as we can, but still take things one week at a time. We won’t attempt to outdo ourselves or over run our equipment. I just want to thank all of my supporters for their help in making my family car a reality again. Godfrey Racing Engines has been amazing to us, along with a very long list of others. We are thrilled to have such an amazing support group on our side.”
