Pittsburgh, PA -9/11/12- Allison Park, Pennsylvania native and Team Fully Injected crate late model star, Colton Flinner, is ready for a busy weekend at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway; as the track’s most anticipated event of the 2012 season is about to take center stage! This Friday and Saturday, September 14th & 15th, the top crate late model, and pro late model, teams in the region will gather at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway near Imperial, Pennsylvania for a shot at a $2,000 top prize! The 24th Annual ‘Tri-Star Pittsburgher’ weekend event will feature a 30 lap main event for the pro late/crate late models. Flinner owns one win at ‘Dirt’s Monster Half-Mile’ this season, and looks forward to securing his first career ‘Tri-Star Pittsburgher’ victory this Saturday night. Colton Flinner is the 2-time and defending pro late model track champion at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, and has more than enough momentum needed to secure the prestigious victory. The weekend spectacle will also feature a $10,000-t0-win, 53 lap UFo super late model main event; as well as a 21 lap, ‘410’ super sprint car main event worth $3,000. Colton Flinner finished fourth in the 2011 ‘Tri-Star Pittsburgher’ pro late model main event.
The two-day ‘Tri-Star Pittsburgher’ format will feature a complete show for each division over the course of Friday and Saturday. The pro late/crate late models will have all preliminary action, including heat races, on Friday evening, September 14th; with the 30 lap, $2,000-to-win/$175-t0-start main event being held on Saturday evening, September 15th. Pit Gates open at 3:00PM on both days; with Grandstands opening on Friday at 5:00PM, and 3:00PM on Saturday! Racing is slated to begin at 7:00PM each night.
