Colton Flinner in action at Eldora Speedway in Rossburg, Ohio

Pittsburgh, PA – 7/2/12} Allison Park, Pennsylvania native and Team Fully Injected crate late model competitor, Colton Flinner, is ready for a shot at $2,000 this Wednesday evening, July 4th, at the Trumbull County Fair in Cortland, Ohio. The Expo Speedway, located on the Trumbull County Fairgrounds, is hosting the first round of the “Cross the Borders” Speedweek featuring the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series crate late models, and TeamFI’s Colton Flinner has plans to be a part of that event. The $2,000-to-win FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series program at Expo will open up a 5-race speedweek through Ohio and Pennsylvania for the crate late models; with the top teams after five races being eligible to take a chunk of the $3,000 speedweek purse. Flinner does not have any intentions of following the entire 5-race speedweek schedule, but has plans to hit and miss a few shows over the course of the weekend.

After Flinner’s venture to Cortland, Ohio on Wednesday, the familiar ’75’ team will head back to much familiar territory for a typical Saturday night visit. Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway, located near Imperial, Pennsylvania, is hosting another round of ‘Sizzler Series’ action this Saturday night, July 8th; which is made famous by the FASTRAK/Pro Late Models. The $1,200-to-win ‘Sizzler Series’ main event at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway will also act as round #4 of the “Cross the Borders” Speedweek featuring the FASTRAK Northeast Touring Series. A healthy combination of P.P.M.S. regulars and FASTRAK touring series regulars are expected to be at the monster oval. Colton Flinner is the defending Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway FASTRAK/Pro Late Model track champion, and is certainly no stranger to top-notch crate late model competition. Flinner competes at the Pittsburgh based half mile on a full time basis in 2012, and currently sits inside the top five of the FASTRAK/Pro Late Model standings. The recent high school graduate finished 4th during his last appearance at Pittsburgh’s Pennsylvania Motor Speedway back on Sunday evening, July 1st. Flinner also made an appearance at Rossburg, Ohio’s Eldora Speedway last Saturday night, but failed to make the $5,000-to-win FASTRAK National event.
