York, Pennsylvania’s Cory Haas will head into this Saturday night’s (May 19th) Lincoln Speedway regular event with two motives; to climb higher in current track standings, and test-and-tune for the upcoming Keystone Cup event on Saturday, May 26th! Haas currently sits 4th in the Lincoln Speedway standings; earning two wins along the way at the Pigeon Hills 3/8s mile oval. The former Lincoln Speedway ‘358’ sprint car track champion has been on a recent hot streak at the facility; earning a win during the ‘Outlaw Tune-Up’ event, and putting up a 4th place run against the World of Outlaws on May 10th.

Haas has never won a Keystone Cup event since it’s inaugural season in 2007, but looks to change that stat this next weekend. The Keystone Cup is a series of consecutive races for ‘410’ sprint cars in Central Pennsylvania over the Memorial Day weekend. The familiar ’11C’ will be in Keystone Cup competition at Williams Grove Speedway and Lincoln Speedway next Friday, May 25th and Saturday, May 26th. The 2012 Keystone Cup will also visit Grandview Speedway on Wednesday, May 23rd; Port Royal Speedway on Thursday, May 24th; and Selinsgrove Speedway on Sunday, May 27th! Haas only trails Brent Marks by 20 makers for third place in the current standings at Lincoln, and sits 230 markers behind current point leader and recent World of Outlaws winner, Danny Dietrich. The ’11C’ operation has also tallied six top 5’s and seven top 10’s so far this season at the Abbottstown oval. For more information on Lincoln Speedway; visit www.lincolnspeedway.com!
