York, PA (September 19th, 2013) – The annual ‘Kenny Weld Memorial’ will take shape this Saturday evening, September 21st at the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania; highlighted with a 40-lap main event for the ‘410’ sprint cars. York, Pennsylvania’s Cory Haas hopes to make this year’s ‘Kenny Weld Memorial’ extra special for the Mike Barshinger owned ‘11C’ operation; and give the Central Pennsylvania based race team their first Lincoln Speedway victory of the 2013 season. Haas, who pilots the Mike Barshinger owned, Michael Barshinger Builder, Embee & Son, Inc, York P-B Truss, Inc., Thornton Chevrolet, Tailgaters Grill & Drafthouse, no. 11C ‘410’ sprint car, is a former winner at the Pigeon Hills oval, and hopes to return to victory lane as early as this Saturday night. Cory Haas recently wrapped-up his 2013 Lincoln Speedway track championship campaign fifth (5th) in the final driver standings; on the strength of fifteen (15) top-ten finishes and seven (7) top-five finishes.

The 2013 ‘Kenny Weld Memorial’ will be a time trial show for the ‘410’ sprint cars; with the Thundercars also on the Saturday night racing card. Although the ‘Kenny Weld Memorial’ may be the signature sprint car event in Central Pennsylvania this weekend, Cory Haas will still kick-off his upcoming weekend in normal fashion. The Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania will be hosting the ‘410’ sprint cars and the ‘358’ sprint cars this Friday evening, September 20th; with Cory Haas scheduled to be in attendance. Haas has one (1) victory at the world-famous half-mile in 2013, and will search for win number two (2) this Friday evening.

Cory Haas will enter the upcoming weekend currently eleventh (11th) in the SPEEDWAY MOTORS/CHAMPION RACING OIL CENTRAL PA SPRINT CARS Presented by HOSEHEADS point standings; on the strength of one (1) ‘410’ sprint car victory in 2013. The Barshinger ‘11C’ team will enter competition at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania this Friday night ninth (9th) in the current Williams Grove driver standings.
