York, PA (1/23/2013) – In just under a month, Cory Haas and the entire Mike Barshinger owned ’11C’ sprint car team will be kicking-off their 2013 campaign at the fabulous Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania for the annual “Icebreaker 30.” The $3,500-to-win Lincoln Speedway opener, which takes place on Saturday, February 23rd, will help welcome most of Central Pennsylvania’s top ‘410’ sprint car drivers back into the racing scene for the first time this year. The “Icebreaker 30” will feature only the ‘410’ sprint cars during the afternoon program; kicking-off another competitive season in ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ territory, as well as the entire ‘Keystone State.’ The Haas and Barshinger duo will spend their entire 2013 season racing in the heart of ‘Pennsylvania Posse’ land; focusing all of their attention to ‘410’ sprint car competition at the Williams Grove Speedway in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, and the Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. Haas, who is a former multi-time ‘358’ sprint car champion at Williams Grove and Lincoln, will race at both facilities each and every weekend over the course of the upcoming year; which includes participation in special events (WoO/ASCoC), and full-point events.

“Pumped up about the ‘Icebreaker’ next month” said Haas, “We are anxious to get this season started…we are looking for better results than last year and certainly more wins.”

The Embee & Son, Inc./MB Builder Developer/York PB Truss, Inc. ’11C’ team enters the “Icebreaker 30” weekend at Lincoln Speedway with plenty of motivation, and a great deal of momentum. Cory Haas ended his 2012 campaign with five (5) wins along the Central Pennsylvania circuit; while also finishing a respective third place in the final Lincoln Speedway ‘410’ standings. In fact, four of Haas’ five wins during his 2012 campaign came at the Pigeon Hills, 3/8’s mile oval; with the fifth victory coming in style at Williams Grove Speedway’s ‘Jack Gunn Memorial.’ The York, Pennsylvania native not only proved that his team was capable of earning victories, but they were also capable of maintaining consistency. At Lincoln Speedway alone, Haas had earned nearly 20 top-five finishes to go along with his four (4) victory lane appearances. The ’11C’ team hopes to turn their 2012 consistency into something even more memorable in 2013, and put their Don Ott powered Maxim back into victory lane on several more occasions.
