GETTYSBURG, Pa. (May 13, 2019) – Although the weekend started off on the wrong foot, forced to settle with a feature ‘DNF’ at Williams Grove Speedway on Friday after making contact with the inside retaining wall, ‘Double-D’ Danny Dietrich rebounded in a big way on Saturday and scored a pair of podium finishes at the ‘Fabulous’ Lincoln Speedway.

Dietrich, driver of the Gary Kauffman Racing/Weikert’s Livestock/Sandoe’s Fruit Market/Pace Performance/Big Cove Whitetail Trophy Hunts/Drop Of Ink Tattoo/Sweeney Cars/Self Made/No. 48 sprint car, finished second and third, respectively, during his pair of feature starts in the Pigeon Hills; second during the previously scheduled World of Outlaws tune-up and third during the make-up feature that was postponed from May 4.

With the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series invading Lincoln Speedway on Wednesday, May 15, the pair of podium finishes is just what Dietrich needed to boost his momentum.

“I’m excited and this team is ready to go,” Danny Dietrich said, who owns four victories thus far in 2019 including one at Lincoln Speedway. “This is a big week for us, and of course, we look forward to this opportunity every year. All we can do is keep doing what we’ve been doing and I think we’ll have a real good shot at making some noise on Wednesday, as well as Friday and Saturday. We’ll see what happens.”

In addition to the upcoming World of Outlaws start at Lincoln Speedway, Danny Dietrich will also join the Greatest Show On Dirt during their invasion of Williams Grove Speedway on Friday and Saturday, May 17 & 18. Including the $5,000 Morgan Cup bonus, Dietrich will battle for a combined winner’s share equalling $25,000 at Williams Grove Speedway; $8,000 on Friday and $12,000 on Saturday, plus the $5,000 Morgan Cup bonus.

As a former World of Outlaws winner at Lincoln Speedway, as well as Williams Grove Speedway, Danny Dietrich will enter the long weekend as a heavy favorite in defending home dirt against the national travelers.
