Dietz Will Return to Williams Grove and Lincoln with Two Different Car Owners

By Fully Injected Motorsports:

YORK, PA (August 25, 2016) – Chase Dietz has been busy during the last ten days of his 2016 campaign, maintaining not only his own ride, but also preparing and maintaining the Troy Godfrey-owned No. 5. The York, Pennsylvania, native will bring forces together this Friday and Saturday as he plans to enter action for car owner Troy Godfrey, as well as himself in his family-owned No. 2D.

“I’m excited to get back to the track this weekend,” Dietz explained. “We’ve been primarily a ‘one race per weekend’ team the last several months, but that will begin to phase out starting Friday night. Troy Godfrey has given me another great opportunity to pilot one of his cars this Friday at Williams Grove Speedway. Racing more than one night a week is going to be a huge benefit for me. The only way to improve is to gather as much seat time as possible and that is exactly what I plan to do.”

Chase Dietz is a two-time main event winner during 410 sprint car competition thus far in his career, each occurring at the “Fabulous” Lincoln Speedway in Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. His most recent trip to victory lane happened on Saturday evening, July 16.

Despite not reaching victory lane at Williams Grove Speedway in a 410ci powered sprint car, Dietz owns a 358 sprint car track championship at the world-famous paperclip, as well as four 358 wins in 2015, all with car owner Troy Godfrey.

Dietz has one recent start at Williams Grove Speedway in the Godfrey Racing Engines/No. 5, resulting in a 20th place finish against the Arctic Cat All Star Circuit of Champions on Friday night, August 19. The third generation racer qualified for the main event after finishing fifth during his respective heat race. There were nearly 40 cars entered for the $5,000-to-win program

“We still have some things to work on, but I know we’ll make progress,” Dietz explained. “Troy and I have a great relationship and that’s been proven in the past with the 358s. We’ll work to transition those positive results into the 410s.”

“I also need to take some extra time to thank my family. We’ve been maintaining our own car all season. It takes a lot of time and dedication and I can’t thank them enough for allowing my dream to continue,” said Dietz. “I’m excited to get back to the track and work for win number three.”
